So boring as to be like a credit card...just a utility.

I dream of a day when all bitcoin folk come together miners and bitcoin core etc ..resolve the block size issue and move on to the real fun

making BTC scale like the credit cards above and be boring!

I dream that the PBOC will be less and less relevant the more and more it cries wolf and as such China exchanges will move and/or just not matter

I dream because of all the above and 80% of all BTC ever made will be done in 2018..that my frigging BTC will be worth 10k each

Bitcoin is boring or do you read some lines of code and can not stop reading, because it is so excited? Just like credit cards some people get excited when using them, but not because of the technology, but because they are spending money. I guess you can get excited when using it for the first time, but this is the same for fiat or credit card.
Other people get excited about the price of Bitcoin and this will only stop if it finally stops going up and becomes stable, or if we accept it as normal.
Some folks might even get a kick out of the discussions within Bitcoin and this will likely continue, because after the blocksize debate we will find something else to fight about. That is what people do. But again i see this not as excitement about the technological aspects, but because Bitcoin has value and people go crazy if money is the subject.

I think if the price of bitcoin increases 2k every year, it will be the most exciting development! Only when the price get sufficiently high, and volatility is low, then BTC will be boring...

Bitcoin won't go as a boring technology in the near future or later years. The price will go higher and higher than the present when the adoption increases. However things go worse it won't go boring till it provides a earning possibility to its users around the globe.

I guess you might need to wait for another 200 years. Only then, bitcoin will be stable and will resemble as fiats.

There would be some improvements or debates or speculations or recommendations keeps happening around bitcoin ecosystem to keep us busy to think about saving bitcoins or to think about future prices of bitcoins. I just worry about my government's stand on it, so every day I just check bitcoin news on google.

I have been following bitcoin for the past 4 years and I have never feel bored! Everyday is an exciting day and I check both bitcointalk and reddit almost everyday, except for the past 2-3 month when I was extremely busy with work. I think it will continue to be "exciting" for the foreseeable future...

I from my own projection it would be after the next halving event, the price should be above $5000, so a $50 price movement won't be exicting as it is now. I just hope the EFT is approved soon

i have already through bitcoin over than 2 years and it was never bored to me and i think every years people will more excited to use bitcoin especially the price was pretty high currently so in my point of view at least for next 5 years people would never bored to use bitcoin

in my first year i know bitcoin, i feel i am not gets bored and i am still have passion with bitcoin and i still want to know about bitcoin especially in trading crypto currency because i don't know anything about trading before and because of bitcoin, now i know a little thing about trading.

i am glad that i am with bitcoin industry because in here, i can earn my first money from internet although in the past, i make money too but i feel the new experience when involving with crypto currency. i hope i can see when bitcoin reach the higher price and i hope when the time is come, i can sell my bitcoin to make big profit.

To bitcoin become boring it has to pass some tens of years. I think when bitcoin will enter in almost every pearson's life only that your dream will come true. But for that bitcoin has to cost really a lot to be enough for all users, I suppose in use will be mBTCs or even just Satoshies.

Nice dream. But I think the higher bitcoin price is, I'm not sure if it will be boring. and even the price is so high, I think it will not mainstream as fiat like most people can own it. I just think that the higher bitcoin price is, there will be little people who use it. imo

If that's your definition of boredom then count me in as your fandom partner but while looking it without my glasses, I think we won't get bored anytime in at least next 5 to 10 years and things will move on till then like before. Many many many people are still unaware about bitcoin so technically they are still in 2010 or 2011 and this majority would take lot more years to reach normal state where we are standing today.

bitcoin and drama are like inseparable twins!
from early days drama was a part of the community and it seems like everybody likes it too, the media, users, developers, miners they all seem to like it and join in.
and price is just a small part of it all, which is mostly taking effect from the rest.
there are too many topics from some simple things such as Who is Satoshi to some more complicated stuff that even bring wars such as the block size debate.

How come that it will become boring if we are earning money from it, maybe it is boring for you if you don't like earning money that much because you already have too much, you don't know where to spend all your money in your BANK ACCOUNTS, that is why maybe you are dreaming this kind of weird dreams. If this is the case, then you should probably donate to some charities that you know, which do really needs money.

I can't see why bitcoin would be boring someday, its price when it starts was really low compare to its price right now, but people never got bored in the first place, why? because loving something is different than wanting something, and we do love BITCOIN, we love it to the moon and never back, and we all know that the more its price goes up, the more excitement it will bring to us, and it will never gets old.

You must be drunk and most people are thinking the same thing too. Growing bitcoins price 2x a year seems not too unrealistic for me but possibilities are there and even more those mentioned amounts wont be nothing or bitcoin would managed to rise even more.

OP has been drinking... I don't think price and it's stability (or lack of) will make Bitcoin boring, I assume that "boreness" will come when mining ends. However I'm also assuming that by then we had already found other ways to keep things interesting...

None of those prices are high enough to induce certifiable boredom. A $10,000 price is a $160 billion or so market cap. That's still not that big and it leaves copious room for growth.  

If it can break the 150-1500 price level for good then I believe the only way will ever be up in the long run. There are multiple billions more people who've never had a sniff of BTC.

Yes, it's true.  

While Bitcoin helps me to have a easier life with more accessibility to the daily tasks it won't be boring. Bitcoin will become boring if it becomes bureaucratized with high taxes and many people trying to regulate it to get desnecessary money from us. Maybe boring can mean a part of our routine, and I'm sure BTC will be a part of it in the future.
