I dream of a day BTC will be boring! [POLL]

I don't know for real if I would ever find this crypto currency to be boring,
I mean I am fascinated about how it really works .

Bitcoin is boring for most of the long term investors like myself. I do not look at the short term volatility but rather what Bitcoin does over a longer

period. I do not day trade anymore, because it controls your life, and you have to arrange everything around the highs & dips in the price. I check

the price once per day, out of interest. So for most of us, Bitcoin is pretty boring. Wink

The use of Bitcoin is surely what you're comparing to as a consumer, the economy and full investment cycles one can put this through may never be boring.

If you're worried about ever thinking of cryptocurrencies as a method of payment then opening up material may increase your point of view... Get started by using it as an asset rather than an option to pay.

I don't think that bitcoin can become boring. First of all, bitcoin price isn't stable and it won't become stable soon. Price factor is one of the reasons why bitcoin isn't boring.
Also, bitcoin have to be used by everyone and accepted everywhere to become boring thing. I don't think it's possible.
And maybe, centralization of bitcoin can make it to boring and usual thing.

I've voted for $10.000 (although I don't know if the year is right, otherwise we could all be rich soon, and it can also go down to $100 again). I consider the 160-200 billion market cap a realistic "end point" of Bitcoin's evolution.

160 billion would mean that 160 million people would own the equivalent of $1000 each - that's a realistic value for a substantial part of the income in a large part of the world. What are the use cases? In my opinion: first, remittances; second, larger online buys; and third, small-scale storing of wealth in countries with unstable currencies.

160 million users, with LN and sidechains enabled, can do 2 on-chain transactions/month with a 1 TB/year blockchain (15-20 MB/block). That's another constant I have in mind when considerung a possible "steady state" in Bitcoin evolution, because much more capacity would centralize the network, and much less would impede mass adoption.

Bitcoin to be boring will not happen in the future, especially when it's price is going up like that. I am thinking if I did see bitcoin, and its price is above 10000$ well i will be really surprised and no secondt thoughts earn these cryptocurrency and trade it to real money, thats how everyone will react on this matter. That days will never be boring hence it will be really exciting. Reading these prices really makes my heart running and throbbing.

That is a nice post OP but while that is a nice dream I don’t think we are anywhere close to the moment bitcoin will become just another tool that no one thinks anything about it, since there are many developments and things to happen, like major adoption, a crazy price increase because of it, the governments fight against bitcoin, and much more.

Welp, you've been drinking a bit too much buddy. What no-one really seems to understand on this forum in general is that if Bitcoin skyrockets it's just not going to ber massively adopted, so you probably have two choices. Let Bitcoin stay around the price it is at right now (1000ish range) and let it be adopted more and more by business that see the potential reward. OR most peoples reality on the forum which is to let Bitcoin price skyrocket and for people to still think bitcoin is an insanely risky thing to buy which leads them to never buy it.

That might not be happening in the near future as we are still in the period of “exciting times” and price stability is hard to come by. That good kind of boring reminds me of the San Antonio Spurs, in that their efficiency seems to evoke boredom and people tend to overlook how good they really are. History will tell us whether bitcoin came establish itself as a boring instrument or just another crypto-currency that burned out too soon and/or fade away into obscurity.

its hard to collecting bitcoin day by day, in future bitcoin will be collect more hard and price rising too
and im not have any bitcoin..
for me better price so low i can buy more then rising in next year

i think most of all are dreaming about most of these things since we all want most of them!
i also want the day where China is not so relevant to anything in bitcoin and we start seeing bitcoin for what it really is, a global currency not just in one country.
i also want to see a day when price is stable and we can really use bitcoin as a currency

Boring? Bitcoin will never be boring at whatever price it goes. If it goes down to $100, there is FUD and drama. If it goes up to $10,000, there will be "moon memes" and more drama. There is also always something going on. The search for Satoshi that gave us the Dorian Nakamoto and his free lunch humor. The scaling debate, more drama there. There is also Craig Wright! The list goes on and on.

You imply that price drives boredom. If so, it'll need to be when satoshis equal pennies or dollars.

Honestly, Bitcoin is getting boring now. No new companies accept it as payment. It's just a store of value, at a great price, but not moving much!

I dream not so much for bitcoin "boredom" per se, but rather for the time when bitcoin is just taken for granted, kind of like the internet now. Everyone uses it everyday pretty much, but they aren't going crazy over it, like it's a big deal or anything like, "OMG! the internet is so awesome!"

I have bigger dreams for Bitcoin :

~ I want to step into every shop on this planet and have them accept BTC
~ I want it to be used for many other applications eg. Smart contracts
~ I want to see BTC being used for micro transactions between people in small 3rd country villages.
~ I want to see BTC being used as the default currency in all games and financial software.

Bitcoin should be just as common as the US Dollar or the UK Pound. ^smile^

I don't think that OP is talking about price, its more about acceptance of bitcoin in society. He is a bit drunk and his talking does sound like some dream, but I agree with him, amen to that.

Hey in my own opinion, I don't think it will be boring. As long as I have good amounts of bitcoin and cool things to buy with it, I would never be bored. I also think the price would continue to rise so I'm holding up vast amounts of bitcoins so I can trade them for cash when the price is high!

To reach the state of Boring Bitcoin has to reach a million or more. It will be that point when no one will think of buying or trading Bitcoins coz of the price range. Undecided
