Although they did believe this, there is more to the story.   Before, during, and after the election a great deal of factual evidence came out regarding the reality of "news reporting."

Remember how the reporters would never show the empty rooms where Hillary went to speak?  And how they would never show the filled stadiums where Trump went?

A lot of the facts are right out in the open on this matter.

Actually this is one of the positive outcomes of the 2016 presidential elections. The American public no longer trusts the mainstream media channels. Their biased reporting alienated a lot of people.

Trump's victory in the 2016 presidential elections prove his point. A majority of the Americans believed that the mainstream media was biased against Donald Trump. Else he could have never won.

Technically no. A majority of people voted for Clinton. But due to the US electoral college system Trump won. The electoral college system is set to adjust up or down the power of the states so that no one population center can swing the election. I think you drastically over simplify what happened.

Actually this is one of the positive outcomes of the 2016 presidential elections. The American public no longer trusts the mainstream media channels. Their biased reporting alienated a lot of people.

No, sir. The American public no longer trusts the White House. It's hard to believe Trump's claims that the media is lying when he lies himself during the same press conference he accuses the media.

Example: He said his victory of 304 electoral college votes was the greatest win since President Reagan. Not true...
  • President Obama won 332 electoral college votes in 2012
  • President Obama won 365 votes in 2008
  • President Clinton won 379 votes in 1996
  • President Clinton won 370 votes in 1992
  • President Bush Sr. won 426 votes in 1988
  • President Reagan won 525 votes in 1984
  • President Reagan won 489 votes in 1980

Trump just lies. He's allergic to facts. He does it to help his brand, but it's doing the exact opposite. The guy is literally the "fake news" he accosts the media of.

Don't be the sheep people, Trump is shitty shepherd.

Yeah because Trump doesn't give fake news at all  Grin

Media at least are based on truth. Of course they present you THEIR version of the truth, but it's rarely a pure lie. More like lies by omission or over interpretation.
While Trump purely and simply lies. Without giving a fuck xD

Like the "incident in Sweden" which is just the most recent lie he gave.

Its happen that everytime when some media companies didn't like the one person like happening to Donald Trump now.
If you didn't fight you will lose. The main weapon of every media companies is the public opinion that they using to discredit someone.

Interesting point.

Do you think it's a weapon they choose to use or a (mostly) unintended consequence of chasing the sensationalism that sells "newspapers"?

Trump's earned A LOT of scrutiny. The guy comes off half-cocked every time he speaks out loud. He shouldn't try so hard. His shallow ego trips him up every time, gets in his way. It makes him an easy and often times appropriate target for public scrutiny. The media is a voice of that public opinion.

I would have to disagree with you, the media is attempting to follow this new culture that is present in the US where everyone that doesn't agree with a Liberal is a racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and so on and so forth. They're banking on the current divide in America due to the recent election and so on before it.

They just haven't noticed that the silent majority doesn't care what they do, they voted for Donald Trump in order to have people know that the MSM (Main Stream Media) are a bunch of lying cowards who are just following orders from above to promote the Liberal agenda

I'm not living in USA and I don't follow their news media, so I can't answer this poll. But I think this poll is pointless. Why? Because this poll is created on Trump official website and it's obvious that it will be answered by Trump supporters. I think that Trump exaggerates negative media treatment to him and so called fake news.

Not true in the least buddy, I'll go on CNN one day and out of the 10 "top stories" or whatever they call them, at least 8 of them are attempting to exaggerate a story, pull some words out of context, deceive people, and so on in order to make Trump look like the bad guy.

Unfortunately this problem does not affect only the United States of America. This problem almost in all countries. Nowadays very expensive to maintain media. They can't earn their keep and they are the oligarchs who pursue their own goals and influence the editorial policy of these media.

Can you be more specific?

Here's an Independent.com article supporting my comments: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-news-electoral-college-ronald-reagan-biggest-win-claim-a7584481.html

I couldn't find any articles saying he took that comment back. And please don't tell me "of course, it's the media! They don't want you to know!" because there's a fair amount of pro Trump media outlets that would - Brietbart, Townhall, etc.

the media is attempting to follow this new culture that is present in the US where everyone that doesn't agree with a Liberal is a racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and so on and so forth.

The only time this is true is when the alternative (to a Liberal ideology) is in fact "racist, misogynistic, xenophobic." Trump and his platform embrace these three things.

Racist: He's made racist comments about black people, muslim people, and mexican people. Although I will aboslutely concede that he didn't call Mexican's rapists, he said the Mexicans immigrating to the US were (in part) rapists. All media has taken this out of context since the beginning and it's usually in how they write the quote - they quote as saying "they're rapists" when what he said is "their rapists"...there's a distinct difference. Source of other racists comments: http://www.politico.eu/article/15-most-offensive-things-trump-campaign-feminism-migration-racism/

Misogynistic: Trump disrespects women constantly, starting with his own Daughter. Sources: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/politics/donald-trump-sexism-tracker-every-offensive-comment-in-one-place/

Xenophobic: His ban on Muslim refugees from 7 different countries proves he's afraid of people from other countries. He's also labeled other countrymen as being threats to America. It's just not true. We gain by interacting with other cultures and races, it's what made America the strongest country on Earth.

One thing Trump is not, is anti-gay. Anyone telling you otherwise is ignoring the facts. The sources I provided aren't liberal bias, they aren't media out to get him, they aren't "fake news"...they're his actual words. He's said these things. If those statements aren't true it's because Trump himself is lying to us.

I would have to disagree with you

I fully respect that. And I'm glad we can talk about this like adults, having two opposing views. And if I were Trump I'd now be accusing you of attacking me, being out to get me, being jealous of something I've done or said. Trump despises any negative comment about him, regardless of how significant or where it comes from. That personality trait demonstrates his narcissist and defensive character. That's a weak personality trait to have in his current position and it motivates him to call the media the enemy when they're just reporting on what he does and says.

They're banking on the current divide in America due to the recent election and so on before it.

The only groups banking on the current divide in America are the Republican and Democrat parties. They thrive when America is divided. The're both, equally, driving the "If you're not with us, you're against us" attitude...and it's killing the Country. This sentiment is clearly embraced by Trump, but also by everyone in the two major parties - the people that go to his rallies and the people who protest.

If the divide continues we'll end up in civil war. There has to be a point when either both sides concede that the need to work together regardless of differences OR a third, mainstream party needs to arise. The Liberals don't have the right answers and the Conservatives don't either. The only answer is compromise and sometimes I see hints that Trump is able to do that, but the more he lashes out at the press the more I think not.

Great talking to you, let's keep it going!

But hell, this trump is a total idiot, the man of the alternative facts (lies).

It was an odd comment by Trump, but was totally blown out of proportion by the media. The reason why he said it is understandable, although not at the time that he said it. Maybe the fact that everyone assumed he was talking about a terrorist attack speaks to what we expect to see in the media. And maybe Trump could elaborate on the obscure reference when we're saying it so the media and public aren't left to question his words (and then presume his BSC.)

The more material he gives them...

Honestly, is there no difference when a troll post some rubbish in a chat or whether the President of the United States speaking to his people (and to the world)?

As it makes no difference. Can't imagine that the President of the most powerful country in the world could carry nonsense for which you have to justify all of the white house. What self-respecting President will sit down at the negotiating table with such an idiot like Trump?

Neither muslim or mexican is "a race."

Trump may ALSO respect women constantly.  Had you considered that?

Bolded - "proves he's afraid?"  No, the ban does not prove he's afraid.  You clearly don't have the facts regarding that temporary ban.

I no longer trust the media. But it's not pleasant. Tell me where you hear the news if you don't trust the media. How do you know that's true? If everything is put in doubt, it is not interesting to live. Don't you think?

He didn't said anything offensive. He said that the African Americans are living in hell, due to the high crime rates. I don't think that it is a racist statement.

Xenophobic: His ban on Muslim refugees from 7 different countries proves he's afraid of people from other countries. He's also labeled other countrymen as being threats to America. It's just not true. We gain by interacting with other cultures and races, it's what made America the strongest country on Earth.

Don't lie. There was no ban and he didn't targeted the Muslims. He temporarily suspended the immigration from seven countries (for people from all the religions).

actually i am 100% trust with media, sometime they make incredible article to make panic, horrible situations and else but sometime they make real article and reporting. in this side, if the media is make real article from real situations, i think maybe people will be stick with them and they can push government to make change.

sometime trump make regulations that maybe make people protest about his regulations like what i've seen on television that trump made racism comment but maybe he forget that in US, the citizens are come from many ethnic which is moslem, african and else.

Friend, regarding the ban. It's a ban because Trump called it a ban.

Regarding race, I noticed you didn't refute my evidence that he's made racist comments about muslim people or mexican people...so he's still racist, yeah? Just not to black people?

  • “If you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. She probably, maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say. You tell me,” Trump said in response to Khizr Kahn, the father of fallen Muslim Army Captain Humayun Khan, after his Democratic National Convention speech in July.

Listen man, it's clear this kind of talk doesn't bother you, but it is racist. It is sexist. It is xenophobic. Don't act like Trump and pretend shit isn't true or ignore the facts. These are his own words.

You'd have a better argument if you said "yeah, he's racist, but that doesn't matter because he'll fix these 5 things in the Country that will make the lives better of those that are hurting the most". I don't think he's capable of that success, but we all win if he does and only time will tell.

His success is our success, but he's still a racist, sexist, xenophobic person. He doesn't earn most people's respect because he doesn't give anyone respect.

This is some really twisted thinking, dude.  I know you are just repeating it but let me explore where this goes.

"It's a ban if he says it's a ban."

Not if you use the word to mean something completely different than what he said.

"I have a great relationship with blacks."

Sounds very, very UNRACIST to me.

"Regarding race, I noticed you didn't refute my evidence that he's made racist comments about muslim people or mexican people...so he's still racist, yeah? Just not to black people?"

Neither muslim or mexican is a race.  Muslim is a religion and Mexican is a nation with citizens.  Hispanic is a group of about 800 surnames, in case it interests you.

So you want to assert he's made racist remarks about the two categories which are not a race and has not made racist remarks about the one which is a race?

I believe it's understandable if anyone doesn't like Trump.  Period.  But racist, nope.

Sexist, he's not even trying to be politically correct.  Part of why he was voted in was a lot of people thinking PC had gone too far.  How about if I assert that your use of the concept is outmoded, antiquidated, and won't work?

Xenophobic?  This is a guy who has world wide business relationships with all kinds of people.   Are you fucking kidding?

Can we clear some of this up please?
