I've read about some incidents where cars were sold for bitcoin, A Tesla[1] and a Lamborghini[2] to be precise. I can also remember seeing a property[3] being sold for 1.6M in bitcoins.

You can buy this gold coin with about $1300 worth of bitcoins: https://www.amagimetals.com/1-oz-american-gold-eagle
Or this gold bar with about $13000 worth of bitcoins: https://www.amagimetals.com/gold/bars/10-oz-pamp-suisse-gold-bar-999-fine-gold

If that's not enough, you can buy 100 of them.

Houses. I haven't seen in my country but I've seen on other websites being listed. There are many houses out there that people want to sell, even for Bitcoins! And there are also people selling cars. That's probably the most expensive thing you can buy, if not gold and silver.

A lot of the early adopters have bought expensive cars and some even had personalized number plates with Bitcoin in it's name. I think the Tesla was

one of the cars I would have bought. You will possibly never know what is being bought, because people with loads of coins try to avoid the public

attention. Some guys have invested bitcoins into buying pre-configured "white label" gambling sites.  Grin

Holy anchovy, imagine how much that is worth today!! A bitcoin is already 50k in my currency (php). BTC50 should it fall on my lap right now would solve all of my problems. Cheesy

It's probably the website SatoshiDice, which was sold for 126,315 BTC back in 2013.
You can find more info about the sale here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101902.msg2751536#msg2751536

Not sure if this counts though.

I would say the United States Dollar [USD] is the most expensive thing sold for Bitcoins.

There is people that just purchase Bitcoin for fun during the Police auctions (whether the person was actually planing on making money is a mystery):

Code:
http://thehackernews.com/2016/08/bitcoin-auction.html

That person purchased 2,700 Bitcoin and it was worth $1.6 million and now it is worth $2,860,623 so I think that the person is pretty happy if he chose to hold onto his coins. I know that this may not be the most expensive though there is Tim Draper who purchased around 30,000 Bitcoins (worth around $31,765,800 now) during an auction.

When Tim dumps his Bitcoin in each market he probably would say

-It wasn't me.

it was 10,000 bitcoin, not 50,000. I also remember it when I read the question. It was funny actually.

and I find a yacht priced at 22305.134 BTC ($11000000). but it was 2 years ago.

I was looking on the internet but can't find.

Maybe you know?

The answer will depend on what year it has happened and what is the value of bitcoin at that time. Let us not go back to the past and say that pizza was the mos expensive things bought, the reason is that bitcoins value at that time was so small so we can never say that that was the most expensive things that was sold in exchange for bitcoin. The most expensive thing or item that was bought using bitcoins in history considering the value of bitcoin at that time was a car and a piece of land. Even if bitcoins value was low or not but the fact that it was sold at hundreds of thousand of dollars worth of bitcoin.

It does depend on which year we are referring to and same as you said that pizza was happen on the past when bitcoin price to its lowest it may considered to be the most expensive seeing on the price now but I think cars and land would really be the possible thing could bitcoin can buy now.

I'd say domains. Here's a list, and on it BTC.com supposedly sold for 1 Million USD http://www.cryptonames.com/bitcoin-domain-sales
I think I heard rumors that the real sum was much smaller and they hyped it to get free advertising.
