Newbie Needs Help with 7950....stales or stuck on startup

Hey all,

I just got my sapphire HD7950 and hooked everything up.  I am now having serious issues...

I am attempting to mine Litecoins, I got Guiminer script, I updated the drivers for my card from AMD's website, catalyst sweet 13.1

So if I do the Default High Intensity Setting I get a 530 Khash/s rate, but for my shares I had 27 accepts and 49 stales.  I dropped to low intensity and got 286khash/sec and 9 accepted and 25 stalls.

Now this only worked with pooledbits mining site, if I try to connect to anyother mining site I get stuck at "starting..."

Any help greatly appreciated

You may want to try cgminer. There is a ton of info on easily setting it up to mine litecoin.  I have x3 sapphire 7950 and I'm getting about the same hash with litecoin. 550-600~. The regected thing may have to do with the pool you're using. Or are you solo mining?

I actually was just setting up reaper, I am getting about 510 khash/s with it and 0 stalls...so I guess GUIminer is my problem.

Would you mind posting your CONF file for it?

Ugggghh Spoke too soon....

So it will run perfect for about 10 minutes....then it starts getting all stales (up to 20%) then my driver crashes...now the card never got over 75c

the thread concurrency seems a bit high.. but I have a lower end card..

my 7950 overclocked runs at 620mh/s. guiminer works out of the box. Ive tried to play with flags but for me works best with default settings.

The configuration looks spot-on. I'd try a separate pool. I'm running 4x Radeon 7950's without a problem out-of-the-box via GUIMiner.
