Well I would downvote you here for lack of substance...

What are you trying to say? That this is 2011 all over again?

What are you trying to say?

What do you see?

To the newbie investor:  "OMG slow crash down to $30 baseline, my $200/coin investment is screwed, SELL"

For the 2011 seasoned veteran:  "It will go lower for up to a year and a half and then go to ~$3,000/BTC    Wink"

For all the bubble believers: I believe what happened in 2011 was more of a hack then a bubble, so that will be dimissed as the "first sell off". Unlike 2011, this time was more of an exchange of weak hands to strong hands given all the volume, so I consider it the first sell off, even with the ddos. Therefore, we just entered the bear trap.

For all the bitcoin believers (includes me): These "bubbles" are bound to happen over and over again until bitcoin is mainstream. But my guess is they will become weaker and weaker bubbles exponentially, due to the community recognizing and panicking.

No, not the same.

And keep in mind that reddit was nothing in 2011.  This forum was really the only big place to talk about bitcoin.  So if you'd really like a more accurate comparison, you need to add a significant (i.e., certainly a majority) amount of the numbers on reddit onto the Feb/Mar/Apr stats for here.

I remember the 2011 crash. The bid depth was almost non-existent back then. All it took was a dump of 20,000 btc to drop the price by 50%. That's why the price crashed so far (there were hardly any buyers). Currently it would take a dump of 200,000 btc to drop the price 50%. Today, the bid depth hit an all time high, suggesting $50 was the bottom.

Another perspective :

vs

They look pretty much identical on the way up. But on the way down the 2013 sank straight to the bottom. Volume is also off the charts.
