You have malware on your computer. You'll need to remove the virus.

For people to help more, we'd need to know what OS, version etc you are running. I'd guess Windows.

This could be of help, number 4, I think:

You'll want to run an antivirus.

You might even consider booting into Linux (e.g. Tails) and running the scan from there.

Whatever you do, if you have one, you may have more, so be careful storing value on that machine until you've scanned it or better yet, reinstalled the OS.

Still be careful. Spyhunter is not too secured. The malware might appear again once you restart your computer. It is better to use malwarebytes and just quarantine the malware. I suggest to always check the address when you copy.

Do you already clear the registry of the malware?

You most likely will want to not access your bitcoin wallet on your computer, nor access any kind of bitcoin related service until you reinstall your operating system.

I would advise that you review this thread for more information as to how to handle your problem (preferably from a device that you are confident that is not infected with any kind of malware).

Formatting your PC is this case is the ideal choice, however if you want to continue using this infected PC a good alternative is to write every character of the bitcoin address yourself by keeping open 2 tabs. I think it's difficult to remove a virus or malware once your PC is already infected with it so I recommend formatting your PC.

These are the two options i would consider.

1. Reinstall operating system, i would recommend debian if you are familiar with linux. You can reinstall windows too if you want.

2. Scan your computer with malwarebytes, it's best scanner for malware on my opinion.

If i was you, i would just go with the reinstall because it could cause more serious problems if you keep using the infected operating system.

Cheers, Onni

Reinstall OS as it was an easy thing now to do in Windows 10 OS. The problem of yours will also affect other things in the future not just that copying btc address thing. Don't trust any malware application as it's not an assurance that you will get rid of those malware things after you use them.

After reinstalling, activate Windows Defender associated with that OS. A wiser way to use instead of installing other AV applications.

Why don´t you just scan your computer with an up to date AV scanner ? there are plenty out there and if you don´t want to set up a new OS, i think this is the best option. If the scanner finds nothing, you should consider letting your PC off for a week than (ofc via another PC) download the new AV database, which the AV uses to detect maleware, and scan again, if this is a more populat maleware and not something specifically crafted for you by your nice friend, ith should find it.

Yes I've updated my AV software but when I scan, there are nothing. Maybe Avast Anti Virus that I used I not strong enough. So I have to use another program that recommended on the internet which can strongly kill malware like what I have. And its worked, so maybe I have to be more careful when deciding download any program on the internet especially bitcoin related. Thank you for your advice, I will try when I meet them again (yeah, of course, I hate to meet them in any condition).
