I've got a question, idk if it has been answered before.

Suppose, hypothetically, I'm solo mining.

Suppose, for argument's sake, that I'm using one of those old USB sticks, that run at 333MH.

Is the difficulty so hard that the 333 chip would not be able to crack the calculation, were it to receive the lucky share that would be the next block?

no it would win .  but tossing the share with a value over  440,779,902,287

is very difficult to do

So the difficulty is not how hard it is to crack the equation, but rather the odds of finding the correct equation among so many incorrect equations?

yeah it just need more "attempt" to be able to hit the block, if you add hashrate this numbers of attempts will be lower until the ratio reach 1:1 and you get 1 block every 10 min on average, but this can happen only if you own 100% of the network

here's something that helps: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1613825.20 and according to this the chance is 1 in 9,738,350,129 every ten minutes to hit a block
