How many Litecoins can I expect to earn in 24 hours if I mine using a desktop computer? Will it be worth it?

Litecoin is part of the  Scrypt algorithm, and there are  Scrypt ASICs, so I'd say no, don't do it.  Pick another alt coin, like XMR.  I think there is decent CPU mining for that coin.
