Hi guys and gals, I'm new to the forums and somewhat of a btc boob.  I had my coin in an exchange for quite a while then a year and half ago decided to do an offline wallet with Armory.  Then my computer died.  Recently I had cash to get a new system and tried to rebuild my wallet with Armory but I'm running into a snag.  I see the problem, and this issue lines up with some reporting I've read online about a similar or the same problem some users run into and was hoping someone could tell me how to fix it.  Basically it appears that Armory is in an offline mode.  I have changed the settings to have it skip an online check and I read about in one tech support thread, but the problem persists and I can't build the block chain or update it.  Can someone help?  I also tried to get in contact with support through the official Armory website but it's a dead link.  Is there no official support for Armory?  Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number:Armory Bitcoin Wallet version 0.95.1-beta-374672b751
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit
System Hardware Specs: Intel Core i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70 Ghz 2.71, 4.0 GB RAM
Description of Problem: Offline
Any Related Addresses: NA
Any Related Transaction IDs: NA
Screenshot of the problem: NA
Log Files from the Bitcoin Client: I don't know how to generate these.

I seem to be confused, this was the forum recommended on the Armory site for user support, but the stick up top says this is only for Bitcoin Core?  No Armory help here?  Anyone know where I would go for that, because this is where the Armory site directed me to go to seek community help?

The official Armory website is https://btcarmory.com/ and does not have any support link, so you were probably using the old website, https://www.bitcoinarmory.com/ (it's a long story as to why there are two website, I don't want to explain it).

Did you also install Bitcoin Core? If so, run it in manual mode by going to File > Settings and uncheck the box to allow Armoy run Bitcoin COre in the background. If you did not install Bitcoin Core, you have to do that because Armory relies on it.

The "official support" is the Armory subforum here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=97.0. I am moving this thread there.

If there is step by step of installation Armory 0.95.1 that may be very helpful, because there is some trick to install Armory 0.95.1, eg. need to run bitcoin core first, also
(quote from goatpig replied)

=====================================================
4) Install 0.95.1, start in offline mode, in File -> Settings, turn off auto bitcoind.

5) With BitcoinQt still running, start Armory the regular way. Let it do its thing. Once it is synced, you are good to go.

Also need a few days to download all blocks to Bitcoin core!!!!!
