Everything is possible still although its quite unlikely to happen. What happen during the time when it hit $250 is because a lot also panicked and sold their BTC. People have already learned this time, it will take a more than just Craig to move the price back to $500. If you have to keep your btc for years until it reach up to 5k each then its a dream come true for everyone. $1400 is so close I can almost imagine how the charts look like when it happen and how it could drop as well when someone suddenly starts sending 10-20 btc on an exchange.

yes ,there is no reason why that could not happen, we dont need to think about that right now however, lets make 1400 first and then see.

Why? Give one reason we would need a whole year to go up 30%? If we break 1200, which is not far away at all, the short squeeze alone will push us 100 bucks higher over night.

Yeah I also think that bitcoin will surpass $1400 once this ETF is approved.  The current increase of Bitcoin today is the hype of the upcoming decision on Bitcoin ETF.  If Bitcoin is successful, then price will likely to increase and this is the speculation of traders today.

well you must be new to bitcoin... With bitcoin is everything possible to be honest, the price might climb really fast up, but after some time it can crash really badly like the crash after the last all time high

that's what people thought for a little while in late 2013 then china and gox happened. could something of a similar magnitude happen again? i think the strongest possibility is some sort of fork event. in that case 80% might be optimistic.

right,well Mt gox  was a disaster but keep in mind like what is happening now in China with authoreties being on exchangers behind to make sure they are playing fair   and that will make people more confident in Bitcoin.  As for a fork well ETH did well so it should not be a problem for bitcoin

ETH is a sideshow, the plaything of a bunch of traders and miners. it wouldn't be anywhere without bitcoin. everything crypto hangs on bitcoin's trust and strength. a fork would undermine that massively.

It is very doubtful we are ever going to see that price again, there is too much volume and too many traders interested in making bitcoin a success so that price is out of question.
