I guess with the approval of ETF, Bitcoin economy will have a fresh new funds coming in.  With this fund it will push Bitcoin price up since demand pressure will be higher.   Aside from that investors who are half hearted to join bitcoin will have no doubt come to a decision to join Bitcoin because of the effect of this approval.  With huge fund coming in, there is no doubt Bitcoin will reach $2000 this year.

ETF approval = PUMP OR DUMP. basically a lot of the people are buying the rumours trend about the approval of ETF by US securities. but I may believe if the SEC decision will get postponed again. and a lot of the dump below $1k

I think it is possible that there will be some massive price rises if the ETF is approved, but looking at what's been happening it's coming down to a coin toss by the looks of it. While there is a lot of hype for this and I do want to be wishful, we have to realize that it's an ETF and they could have far more at risk than we believe. Profits are what keep those guys rolling.

We are all looking up to that as there's no stopping Bitcoin now, I just checked and it's 1124$, gosh tge sky is the limit. I'm holding on to mine and hopefully by the end of the year the pump would be realized massively.

Very well said. The price of bitcoin is inching to an all time high right now.
And if SEC approved its ETF, we will see a big leap in bitcoin price. I know
a lot skepticism coming from Wall Street analyst regarding the approval,
but i still hope it will and once approved, a lot of capital worth millions
would flood bitcoin ecosystem and such influx will cause the price to leap
to skyrocket price. So lets just enjoy the price rise as of now and just wait
what will happen in March 11.

For me is just to make me richer in Dollar value because my BTC number remain thesame. ETF is very good for Bitcoin in general because that means more fiat entering the space without them knowing what Bitcoin actually stand for, though there are alot of skeptic saying the ecosystem is not ripe for this, what of if we have another Bitfinex like hack and investors ended up losing millions of $. 
One thing that is certain  is that people will always follow money to where it is

I don't think it will affect bitcoin prices that much that would boost bitcoin prices to that much within the year. It may affect it slightly, probably an increase of 20% but not really 100%. The approval of the ETF will not ensure that the general public and investors will accept and embrace bitcoins to really boost up the price to that high.

in the long run it can speed up the rise, which means so far we saw 150%-200% price rise each year and with ETF we may start seeing more like 250%-300% rise per year.

Chinese exchanges stopped withdrawals, the people (traders) never stopped trading though so i don't know why you say it failed.

It's a new way of putting money in. I don't see how that compels more people to want to put money into Bitcoin. You could create a turd ETF. It's not going to make more people want to buy turds.

It's a string added to the bow but if one does pass there isn't going to be the avalanche that people are hoping for. There will be a pump but it'll be like most of the previous ones, ultimately a little empty.

The predictions of a crash if it doesn't happen are exaggerated. The current rise may be related to the hype of the potential ETF approval, but people expecting sub $1000 prices after the ETF (if it fails) are getting it the wrong way.

It means another Bitcoin Bubble.  Lots of speculation ang hyping that creates an abnormal growth in bitcoin price.  Typically this kind of growth is considered as bubble and when burst lots of peopel who were caught in the burst will have a big loss.  I am not anti climatic, I really want to see Bitcoin to increase in price but not this way.  This brings more harm than good to Bitcoin economy.  Oh well if ETF is approved at least the damage will be lessen.

It should be happening. But Does 2013 give us a lesson about the SEC approval? I think it's having a high chance to get postpone. And at 9 march the withdrawal on the chinese exchange already unblocked by PBOC. and does it not give something for bitcoin if SEC will be trying to postpone it?

ETF approval will create some positive effects. Such as:

1. Open the gates for institutional money to flow into bitcoin, so far big business couldn't touch bitcoin.
2. Reduce price volatility and boost price of BTC, who would want to sell coins during bullish trend?

I think it will be more like the speculation before the halving.
Everybody expected a price increase after the halving, but nothing happened. Instead the real price increase happened before the halfing.

But the expectation by the community in bitcoin world was crashed down and the effect of it now was that bitcoin dropped now at 970$, well it is as expected when it has been rejected by SEC. Having the ETF with Bitcoin isn't that interesting. Sure, the price of Bitcoin will move up because of the guys at the stock exchanges and the other exchanges wanted to try to manipulate the price...it will only last for a little while so I wouldn't worry so much about it.

The current correction has hardly anything to do with the SEC decision

Did anyone really expect them to approve the BitcoinETF in the first place? There was some price manipulation going on within hours before and right after the decision had been announced but the effect of it quickly evaporated. Today's price fall is most certainly related to BU fudsters but how long their FUD is going to last? Unless they continue to dump massive amounts of Bitcoin on a daily basis, they won't be able to bring the price down for any longer period of time. And as soon as they stop dumping, price will quickly rebound. It is hard to play against the market all the time
