This is possible, we have a history of Bitcoin price crashing whenever there is irregular increase in price.  But I guess there is a reason to this price increase,  the hype of the upcoming ETF decision.  Isn't it too soon to short at 1140?  How about shorting right after the ATH is broken?

You might make little money whenever there is a price retreat. But what happens when that one big upsurge happens? If you are holding a leveraged short position at that point, your entire capital might get wiped out.

Price is climbing as people are anticipating on the ETF that may or may not get approved next month. Until that day I am sure that we'll keep seeing the price increase to perhaps $1200 and who knows a tiny bit higher. but from what i have seen in all these years, there are a couple of these guys around with some newbies wannabe like them.

It depends. If you still have some coins aside that you are more or less happy with, then I would choose to wait. If you don't have any coins left at all, then I would buy back a small portion as I expect the price to continue to climb up further. But the point is that you should analyze the market yourself as people here can only give you advice of what they think the price will do. Your view on the market might be completely different.

Yes price is climbing rather to fast and it stands to reason to expect a fall in price for reasons of profit taking or panic selloff, but I don't see it falling freely - don't just expect dump of Bitcoin! Anyone looking to buy Bitcoin now had better think it through, because he/she might just be buying at the pick of the price which would entail selling at a loss or having to wait it out until the the price level is tested again in the future. To buy again, I would prefer to wait for price to come down to $800 - $900, outside any major news to start buying again.

Well we should really have to wait for the price will mark down of its track but eventually its hard to think when will it be dropping of its value. But yes there maybe dumping of bitcoins but we cant assure that will be the possibility or reason to make btc value to go down exactly. prices like this which are pretty low are all about chances. yes in the long term and when you look at the bigger picture a $900 price at this point is pretty stupid but we are still relying on small exchanges with thin orderbooks with lots of panic sellers and lots of whales who manipulate.

While we are all full of expectation that Bitcoin is headed for the moon, it would help to understand that market price of any asset does not climb in one full swoop. It always moves in wave form - if in an uptrend, it goes up, a bit down, up again and so on. Price has been ranging around $1000 for sometime now and any breakout would retest the previous major support before finally exploding, that is how the market works and you can backtest to conform it.

Price may not necessarily touch $900 again, but the chart would no doubt show when the bulls are mounting so much pressure and adjustments can always be made.

I believe till ETF's verdict remains pending, we cannot expect any heavy sell off, that too only if we will get the result as bitcoin ETF is not getting approved. If you are a day trader then you may be right, but if you plan to hold for longer terms, losing a few dollars here and there is not a big deal, obviously we will like to get as much earnings as possible but it is not possible to get every single trade right, so as long as you make profits then you will be fine.

actually we can't point to anyone to do either day trade nor night trade since we have different timezone here and in my case i earning good on my night trading venture's since i can luckily spot the upwards downward movementd on the coin who am i trading at. What I mean is the amateur traders who can make elaborate, nice looking charts but in reality they are usually the breakeven or losing traders. I know making some Bitcoins from trading is nice. But most of the amateur traders in the forum are generally looking more for validation.

You may want to know that those technical analysis also works good with Bitcoin, except one does not know what to look at. In the absence of any significant news, what usually rules the market is technical analysis and any trader that is able to recognize and capture those butterfly formations cannot be say to be a hobbyist. It takes keen interest and passion to be able to come this far in trading.

What the analysis is actually saying is that we should expect test of key support levels before price shots to new highs and that is not something strange as many more traders will rush to take profit as price keeps increasing and then there would be a drop in price for another opportunity to buy at lower prices - that is just it, the raw figures there only serve as guide.

If it come from the amateur traders here in this forum, it would be better if you do not see it. What they come up with is useless and it mostly causes you to lose your money. Deep down they know they do not know what they are doing. They are only following what they have read in a book, from a forum or an instructional video on youtube.
