yeah i think the market will just eventually price in disruption.  you can't keep running the same play over and over.

That is, assuming its really ddos and not just mtgox being overwhelmed by users.

We're over due.

I'm sure it'll happen when the price goes up, but of course AFTER the attackers sold their BTC and make some good profit, so they can re-buy in at lower cost.

Today's attack was largely ineffectual as it seemed to be aimed at denying trades hence the 502 errors.

We can't rule out new tactics by the angry ickle script kiddies.
