Hi Guys,

I have the below transaction which my Electrum wallet says is still unconfirmed. It has been pending for 48+ hours. I understand that I may have not done a high enough fee though I never selected anything on Electrum and kind of just assumed it did the Dynamic Fee by default. I'm sending it from one of my wallets to my friends so I'm not too worried about it just somewhat curious if there's anything I can do to help it out? Additionally, I read on Electrum's FAQ that eventually it will cancel, and I was curious if anybody had any idea how long this might take since the website just says "days". Any help on this would be greatly appreciated and I put the transaction below in case that helps:

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

You should make sure you have dynamic fee set under tools > preferences. As for why this tx is not confirming:

There's a backlog of 100k transactions! It's getting worse!

Yeah I just checked and apparently it doesn't automatically set to that, so that's my fault. How long does Electrum's (not sure if it's different than a standard transaction) take to stop broadcasting if it's never been confirmed take to cancel though?

I'm not sure if there is a set time for it to fall off. I'd recommend trying the accelerator linked above to see if it can help speed your transaction up.

Alternatively, you may be able to restore your seed into a new wallet and attempt to doublespend the funds with a higher fee.
