About how much is a wire transfer?

Alright, so I know that the fees could vary greatly, but could somebody give me a rough idea as to how much it could cost to complete a wire transfer in various conditions? I know you can't be exact, but I personally don't know whether it would be 1$, 10$, or 100$, and if there are major fees to send to another country or would it be only taxes that change the price?

As you can probably guess, I've never done a wire transfer before.

$20USD is a reasonable starting point in the free world.

It's different for different amount of money that you want to transfer. Here where I am it's a minimum of 10 dollars fee for any transfer you make up to 10.000 dollars. Bank of America for example offers to lower the fees if you do a lot of transactions through them up to a point where you don't pay any fee if you meet certain conditions.
