Hello

Recently we have bought 2x  Msi rx 480 gaming 4gb from the same e-shop, when we wanted to do bios mod today we found out that the first gpu is samsung memory and the second has different values and it's an autodetect memory type  Huh, Before that we could see also voltage usage and temperature differences on one gpu while mining (hashing speed jumping a little bit)

gpu 1 samsung memory - http://imgur.com/a/2AFuv

gpu 2 autodetect - http://imgur.com/a/9HSKh

What is the autodetect type and what we can do with it?

(edit, after restart we got these values I really dont understand - http://imgur.com/a/9HSKh)

Thanks

NOIZ

All the screenshots you pasted show samsung as mem type...

Anyway, i had similar situation and used https://github.com/ystarnaud/amdmeminfo/ on linux instead of gpu-z, thatone reported mem type as samsung.

Old thread, but since I ran into this issue and had to find a fix and this post is the top of google here is how to fix it:

You have to disable ULPS (ultra low power saving feature):

1) Click Start - Type regedit.exe and hit enter.
2) In reg editor, press F3 and type EnableULPS, hit enter.

3) Keep pressing F3 until it finds a key called EnableUlps in a sub folder called 0000
4) Double click the reg entry and change value from 1 to 0.

5) Keep pressing F3 until it finds a key called EnableUlps in a sub folder called 0001
6) Double click the reg entry and change value from 1 to 0.
