It started with Roosevelt on the back of the train.  Throughout this time journalism turned into a professional that strictly reported facts.  Now, it's spin ... spin ....

I work for government.  I have also worked for the press.  It's important and accessible.  The press ask the difficult questions also help management understand the pressing issues of the community.  It can also be a great propaganda tool ... is it seems to be devolving towards.  I blame it on SEO and Google for "backlinks", which encourages looking circular.

The problem is cutting off access.  It's frustrating being taken out of context and misquoated as City Official "X" ... when you did not know the story context and sound like a fool.  That's why it's important to have a good relationship with the press.

I don't have anything against fair criticism. But the media went overboard, spreading lies and unsubstantiated rumors about the Trump administration. The best example is the recent order suspending immigration from seven countries. The media portrayed it as some sort of a Muslim ban.

Trump isnt damaging press freedom but he is wary and alarmed about how press are being controlled by politics. Press are no longer free but gives a biased report due to the control of their masters who are also in politics. Hilary Clinton has a huge connection and control on the majority of the News networks in the United States of America and she is using it to destroy Trump. It is right for Trump to target the current condition of the media which is no longer free but corrupted by politics.

Also, you must watch the former state department spokesman John Kirby bullying Gayane Chichakyan of the RT, to get a better idea of the intolerance shown by the Democrats to the media.

The us government can take the decision to withdraw the United States from the UN Council on human rights. This issue is currently being considered in the administration of Donald trump.

Yes, I agree that Trump will damage press freedom but it's not all.
He will damage human rights of many people in America, specially people without legal papers.
He will damage trade relationships with EU, China, Canada, Mexico, many other countries as well.
He will damage international security as well, weaken NATO etc.
