stratum wtf?

i started yesterday mining with guiminer which seems to be the only one i can install under windows without sth like a interface for unix to compile the miners (dont want to read myelf through all these commands)
so i use guiminer with cuda for nvidia. the miner has no startum support in cuda mode. my pool aks for stratum ( i read sth about it, it seems like this new protocol seems to need lower traffic and the server has much more controle of what my rig is doing)
so i failed to install a miner with cuda and stratum so i tried a stratum proxy. it sais ill get more shares with the stratum protocol than with the getwork protocol which i am actually using. with getwork ill get 1 share every 7-8 mins, with stratum nothing in 1 hour. i tried this a few times and got the same results as every time.

any idea whats the problem?
the only thing i know about unix is to type in the commandline(if someone highly recommends to use another miner, i downloaded bfgminer and i looked in ufasoft miner, but i am clearly to stupid to use one of them :/

i would like to use stratum protocol, but if i find much less than with getwork its useless for me.
i hope someone understands the shit out of my brain and has a solution for me.
wallet prog is bitcoinqt if this could be important.

I have Nvidia graphics cards, I have them as OpenCL miners in guiminer and they connect to stratum automatically, maybe try that.

i tried it, i even got 0,4mHash/s more
but it doesnt seem i am connected with the stratum protocol, maybe ill have just to wait a bit more

this "pool" seems only to process transactions, did they stop doing blocks?

it could be the difficulty? i think it's set too high for your hashrate, so you are not getting any shares
