Separate online list for staff

I have seen it on almost all forum that they have a separate list on homepage for staff members who are currently online for members to reach them easily in case they need any help.
Can we have similar separate list for online staff members here also?

I think it is a good suggestion although each moderator's name appear on top of each forum that they moderate and they can be contacted from there.
They will respond to if they are online or as soon as they get online.

this is a good suggestion but the new forum is already on the way, so this feature might be implemented in the new forum if the admins want to add it

Why would you want to reach staff members for any help if you can just use the "report to moderator button" ?
Apart from that,everything else is pretty much discussed openly in the stickies or the meta section.
If you have any particular forum related queries,you can open a thread about it in Meta.
If you still want to talk to a staff member,drop them a message by checking their last online status ?

I'm afraid that enabling this will just make the spammy bots smarter, they could somehow check If the moderators are online or not and start doing their thing once they know they no one can stop for a certain period of time. It's also possible to hide your online status in your account settings too so If those can't work together, I don't see the point.

Fortunately,some or the other mod is always online.I'm sure the job has been divided into separate time zones.So there a mod online at every hour on bitcointalk.I might be wrong though.

It's also possible to hide your online status in your account settings too so If those can't work together, I don't see the point.

That just hides the green box besides your profile.But you can easily make out if the person is online or not by opening their profile page.
