I think many of them have already bought a few coins, but not too much.
From their point of few, a few thousand dollars is not much worth mentioning.
Warren Buffett is an exception, I do not think he owns bitcoins.
He has some guidlines in his investment strategy that can not be combined with bitcoins.
For example he always asks, if the management is rational. I do not see much of a bitcoin management.

That is what I believe also that many of them included already bitcoin in their portfolio but not too much. Businessmen / investors are always on the look out of new opportunity. They did not want to missed the opportunity  and since bitcoin is gaining popularity, they see a bright future in it. Since virtual transaction is also growing, a bitcoin is a perfect virtual  cryptocurrency to invest with.

Yes in their first buy but you forgot to mention the possibility that they are increasing their bitcoins . Why? Of course when you invest into something, You should be updated to it . Some of them just can't declare it to the public because their name is on the line . Here are a list of the famous people who supports bitcoin: https://www.oddsbusters.com/en/bitcoin-gambling/interesting-facts-bitcoin/rich-famous-people-bitcoin/ . I think that If more of them declare their support on bitcoin, It will once again increase iits popularity

The two names you mentioned Soros and Warren won't because they don't have the computer background.
What a relationship about having the computer background and didn't have a computer background? Although won't have a computer background and his money are worth billion dollars.  Tongue

George Soros is too smart to reveal his position bitcoin if he had one, so we can never know.

He probably thinks his investment wouldn't benefit if he revealed it now, he wants to keep accumulating more cheap bitcoins, he knows that if he officially gets on bitcoin, news would hit mainstream press and price would go up: bad for the accumulation phase.

Well his type of investor will always keep his investments secret and probably it's his strategy to say that he doesn't have any interest of bitcoin.

Despite of knowing that he is already there and starting to make his own portfolio, maybe it's still too early too reveal this.

We will see in the future regarding his position with bitcoin investment.

I think that most "big names" that know about Bitcoin have already invested in Bitcoin already. Seeing how Bitcoin price is sitting at more than 1000 USD per coin, anyone who tech-savvy people who are aware and believe in it would have already join us.

Maybe there is still a few that know about Bitcoin but haven't invested into it because they feel that Bitcoin price is too high for them to start or they want to start their own cryptocurrency. Some tech-savvy people who believe in Bitcoin Blockchain, may start their own Blockchain-alike system instead of supporting its root.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

If at all if ETF is approved then we would see more investments and more price hikes in bitcoin and would rather see a huge spike in the price when wall street get involved into bitcoin as they really know how to manipulate the price and i really do not want that to happen .Hope we wont see many regulations put in place for bitcoin.

The two names you mentioned Soros and Warren won't because they don't have the computer background. I know Bill Gate, M. Dell, R, Brandson are all in support of it and most have played with some but I don't think they are huge invested in it.

That is of little depth the way you put it. Soros and Buffet dont want to invest in BTC because they think it is definitely a ponzi, which the way it started, it really was. Think about it. Do you think BTC is real money when it started by an anonymous programmer?

I wouldn't cast a shadow of doubt on this thought, bill gates, George soros, Donald trump etc. I guess must be deeply rooted in Bitcoin investment as Bitcoin is turning out to be the currency of the world.

I cant still say that if there are big names who are already invested to bitcoin i didnt even read any news if there one but one things for sure if they would decide to engage to bitcoin then expect prices will shoot up because those big names have the capability to buy huge amounts.

I don't think big names are invested. Big names generally diss whatever isn't regulated. Regulations are a big thing for big player, wall street investors, etc... And if they were invested, I imagine that the price would skyrocket...
I disagree, it is the other way around, banks and any other big players don’t like regulations at all, that is why they are always pushing for deregulated markets and they will try to bend the rules to their benefit.

Nah, if there was any popular people purchasing Bitcoin then we would know about it because the price would have a sudden rise while the popular business man or women announces that they just purchased Bitcoin on live television.

Although a smart investor like Bill Gates and Richard Branson could be purchasing Bitcoin off the markets and using the order books at their advantage. With the Police Auctioning Bitcoin batches within a four to five digit range, it wouldn't be a surprise that one of the anonymous bidders could be within the top 10 richest people in the world.

Big names already invested in bitcoin and i think that is already done a few years ago. Big names comes with big minds because of their experiences on their journey to success. If they saw bitcoin right away then they will invest as soon as possible because they can see bright future for this kind of coin and now we are witnessing it.

Many companies acquire blockchain technology and initialized many research centers about bitcoin and they have invested on it. I think its been against bitcoin technology and they planned to create a new coin against it.

Guys like George Soros are too smart to not see the importance of bitcoin, but are they too old to get it?

I know that Warren Buffet said a couple years ago how bitcoin makes no sense, obviously showcasing how old and deprecated his investing decisions are when it comes to cutting edge technology.

But I can see guys like Soros getting involved and learning about it and secretly taking a position.

I can also see Donald Trump, which has appointed bitcoin guys in his team, holding some in his portfolio already.

When the ETF passes, I can see tons of Wall Street people joining in as well, with some serious investments beyond for testing purposes.
Who will not like to invest in bitcoin. The prices are rising soo much that anyone will like to buy a lot bitcoins when the prices fall and then convert them again when the prices rise.
Bitcoin seems much profitable than any other crypto currency. And greedy people always want to make money in the easiest way and in this method they just need luck nothing else.

With all the buzz and the hype going on Bitcoin,I'm sure big personalities already had a bitcoin portfolio, maybe they are also into altcoin and this will push the price upwards they may not admit it but I'm sure they are agree that Bitcoin is a must have portfolio.

When Soros reveals his positions (because he does it sometimes) he has already taken action, because he knows Soros in an huge global mogul and a market mover.

Case in point: Soros sells his gold, then he reveals that Soros has sold X amount of gold, and this causes a dip or if not a dip, well it never helps to regain an uptrend.

So Soros is obviously not going to reveal he owns bitcoin until he has an huge amount and he can only buy it slowly, if he reveals it it would pump massively.

Bitcoin is no longer stuggling to get big names in for success. Bitcoin's demand is already highest ever and reflected truely by its price. So, investments by big names can be profitable to them at personal level but on the whole of Bitcoin-market demand is at high pace thus shooting prices.
