They upped the price by ten bucks, and they're sold out again!

Sorry maybe I was wrong, it looks like they actually had two models, one for 109 and one for 119

I think I had mixed them up (what's the difference anyway? I got the 109 model 2 weeks ago)

I am sure they could sell them for 50 bucks more and they would still sell out...

I'm pretty sure those are both the exact same card and someone just typed a '-' in the model name of one and didn't in the other, so it's showing up as 2 different cards.  100297-2L and 100297L...c'mon Newegg Smiley

Actually if you look at the pictures, specifically the back PCB, you can see they are physically two different cards. It would lead me to believe the higher cost one overclocks better because of what looks like (I'm no specialist) VRM's? Or a higher concentration of them? In any case you cannot go wrong with either version.

Ah, well then.  It's a boner on Sapphire's part then, giving two different cards the same model number Tongue

the model number is different.

i have both cards. one comes in a GIANT box (109$) and the other in a rather small box (119$). and yes, the cards are physically different, at least the PCI slot end (the part with the DVI plug and vent), other than that i have not inspected it much.

I got the 109.99 model 2-3 weeks ago and it's running at 975 core, ~ 300+ MH/s

I also must have gotten lucky on an old reference 5850 I bought 1.5 years ago, I just had it hit 400 MH/s

What "premium" are you willing to pay to get these scarce 5830 cards?  Would you pay $25 on top of retail value found on bitminer.info? How about $50?

What about rebates? Do you consider those in the price tag?  I want to order from a site online that has "very few" of these cards for $220 with a $30 rebate.  Would you suggest I buy it, or wait for a lower price?

This is the model: (ASUS Radeon HD 5830 1GB GDDR5 Video Card with Eyefinity)

Been mining with my everyday computer at 20Mh/s. Sad  Wanna start for real now. Smiley

No way, Panda, there are several users here on the forum selling for more like $160 for new cards.
Check over in the marketplace.
