The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

I am definitely a "hodler". But I buy and "hodl", without forgetting it... However, I do not have lots of financial freedom to buy too much... still very very far from my goal of 21BTC...

Why a specific goal of 21 BTC. If you are very much active in trading you could have achieved the goal by now and one more thing ,you have to invest in order fulfil you dream because getting the initial coin is always the struggle and after that it is quite easy to make a good amount of money and I am a smart player who follows according to the sentiments.

I don't really fit into any category above. If I could create a category, mine would be "hobbyist" - I hold some crypto but due to economic reasons cannot seriously bank any coins to either be a "hodler" or a "smart-money".

However, whatever crypto I do obtain, I have held most. A small portion, about 10% perhaps, I gamble with or buy small services online. I suspect the majority of users here are like me.

I am also a hobbyist in this world.Once in a while i do come in and if i feel something interesting i do purchase some and keep for some time and sell off if i am in profit and i am not a keen trader because i am quite busy in my real life .Wish i could spend some good time into bitcoin and other alt coins in the future.

I am not included in your list. I am not buying any bitcoin since I dont have the money to purchase it. If you could add another selections in which some of us belong and it is earn bitcoin and sell, earn bitcoin and hold. We belong on those two types and hope you can add it to your selecetion since there are many users that are dependent on online jobs to produce bitcoin and have never experienced buying even 1 bitcoin.

I can not vote, so I will cast my reply here. I would define myself as a smart money, since if there was a sudden spike, I would sell, and buy back when we would be down. However this is theorically since I did not did it before, so this just how I think I would react.

I don’t fall into any one particular category but I think I am closest to being a smart money. Because I treat bitcoin primarily as an investment, I try to broaden my thinking when it comes to my buying and selling decisions, but most of the time I would just hold, same as what I do with my stock and mutual fund investments and just wait for a good time to make some profits.

I don`t fit anywhere in those archetypes and i consider myself as an "earner".
I earn bitcoin just like i earn money and i`m not waiting for increases or speculation bubbles.
I have never bought bitcoins and i have never bought any online goods or services using bitcoin.
Anyway, i still love bitcoin. Grin

Would have loved to be able clicking on anything "Smart something" but my name betrays me. I'm a collectors type of personality. So "Hodler" suits. Maybe you could add "Smart Hodler" onto the list of choices?

I am not in this either, I am a tech lover who is impressed with the cryptocurrency / blockchain technology and who holds and spends bitcoins just because it is far better than fiat currencies in terms of user experience, it is kind of future's currency and most importantly, it gives complete freedom to the users. One can send or receive as much as his capacity, there is no discrimination between penny traders or billionaire users when it comes to the use of bitcoin.

I think I am bit of smart money, I like to save my bitcoin and sell it if the price is right and a bit of speculator because I think  bitcoin can become a good source of income by trading, and most of the time I used bitcoin for gambling and betting, so maybe you can add "GAMBLER" to the list?

I am a bite of everything in the list xD. Mooner because i believe in Bitcoin and I am sure it will be huge in some years. At least I hope. Hodler because I buy bitcoin only to hold them for the long term, more than a year. Speculator/Day Trader, I sometimes buy bitcoin when I am confident the price will incrase in the following weeks. Smart money, I still hold some Bitcoin bought back in 2013 about

I am a speculator, every day watching movement of market and make transactions as often as possible. Not working in a team, and I don't like holding coin in long term. Profit and loss is very challenging adrenaline. I often arbitrate to some exchange market. This is necessary because the price difference always look attractive, but it will be useless if we do some transaction in small quantities.

None of the list ! I am a spender, I spend all what i earn in bitcoin ! My wallet is near zero most of the time. I try to save a little but really hard, I always find something to buy, specially as I use Amazon with Purse.io Tongue Maybe i have something like 0.1 BTC in my wallet and if I find the good size for those fucking shoes i saw then my wallet will be zero, direct !

Hodler, hodler, HOOODLER!   Grin

Nuclear winter is coming, save your coins! On second though, that's a bad idea.    Tongue

Holding IMHO is still the safer alternative. Better just forget that you have some coins in there rather than try to enter into trading and stuff without much knowledge. Sure the price still have rough rides - that's what attract people in the first place. But whatever loss during plunges are usually gained back when things settle down. I first heard about it last December and just look at the average weekly price now. Save for any Chinese scare, we can only expect the price to go up. Provided nothing cataclysmic happen, we can expect bitcoin to be with us for a long time.

I am bit confused here, mooner and holder seem basically the same the same - they both waiting for their coin to gain more value.
Holders keep their coins and think someday price will rise. So mooner is just a hardcore, overly optimistic, long distance holder, nothing more.

The question is about your attitude about the bitcoins that you have (whatever the amount), not how did you earn them.
If you spend/convert them all in fiat at the same time that you gain them and so you hold no bitcoin at all I would not even define you as a bitcoiner.
