This forum simply cannot contain everything.

LTC is big enough to deserve its own subforum - it is the only other coin to have approached, and is approaching again $100 million dollar USA total market capitalization.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a dedicated LTC forum?

Relevant threads can be moved there if necessary, if there is not a dedicated LTC sub forum.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?

I don't like the idea of seperating different cryptos to different forums.

The community on bitcointalk is really impressive and not so many would register to another forums on a coin they aren't even invested in. Once you got into one alternative to btc you would have to be on bitcointalk and your alternative forum. That is no problem, but then there is no need to talk on bitcointalk about your 2nd coin and it wouldn't be seen by others.

If your favourite alternative happens to be PPC you wouldn't hear anything interresting on LTC so no need to even visit ltctalk and we would loose communication between the alternatives.

Separate sites are a good idea but this site is too addictive to give up Smiley

Each altcoin needs a subforum... it is TIME to make the change right now.

You can get one if your altcoin's hash rate exceeds 100 gh/s... or equivalent for scrypt sound fair?

That is fine... but we need this board to segregate as well.

CHILD BOARDS FOR THE FOLLOWING RIGHT NOW!

LTC Litecoin -  second only to BTC , faster than BTC, Smaller efficiency gap between GPUs and CPUs , ASIC-hostile

NMC Namecoin merged mined with BTC, used for alternative p2p domain system

PPC PPcoin   Proof Of Stake [very innovative, low energy ] , compatibile with BTC miners

TRC Terracoin based on BTC, fast difficulty adjustment, initialy flaved but corrected

DVC Devcoin merged mined with BTC, 90% of generation goes to foundation, 10% to miners

NVC NovaCoin -  scrypt hashing[like LTC] , proof of stake [like PPC] , controversial start

FRC Freicoin - 4.89% anual demurrage. for the first 3 years 80% block subsidy goes to foundation, 20% to miners

Why so complicated? It'd be hard to agree on equivalents to every new algorithm, and gh/s for proof of stake coins just represents the value of new coins, and with merged mining ...
It'd be much simpler to go by market capitalisation. Every crypto over 1Mio USD should get it's subforum.
