up until last month people were saying China controls bitcoin. price was rising.
then Chinese exchanges were under investigation price fell but it kept going up right after
then Chinese exchanges were shut down and price kept going up.
then with China out of the picture now it is time for US and their ETF nonsense. price still going up.
then ETF will fail/approve price falls and then right after it keeps going up.

in a couple of weeks it is again some other crap to make people occupied while price just keeps going up and whales accumulate.

Not true. This is the final deadline for winklevoss etf. They cant postpone it anymore. So only aproval or dissaproval are the two outcomes of this matter.
How sure is this information? Any reference?

If the winklevoss etf is approved on March 11, when will we be able to buy it? March 11th? or is there some time before it's up and running?

The news is not meant for you to wait for the day to buy it.

"The critique, courtesy of former Gemini general counsel David Brill, is particularly relevant as his old employer’s last and final deadline to receive approval for the experimental product is on 11th March." according to the site

All other comments on the page seem not to support the approval, not even in recent years

I meant to be able to buy shares of the etf. Not to be able to buy bitcoins.

So if it's approved, when would the etf be listed on the exchange? On the same day? Or would it take more time?

Old news while PBoC has investigations and moreover some restrictions regarding leveraged trading which are imho in favour for the ETF, yes?

I think it's going to happen this time around. It just seems like bitcoins have taken such huge strides in recent history so they're proving to be viable.

Viable to who? I do not think it is unless you are a dark market user or something like a ransomware hacker. The banks also refuse to acknowledge its importance. They even banded together to support R3 in creating a blockchain for them. Which failed in case you did not know.

People are definitely interested in bitcoins and this is an easy way in.

But what kind of interest? If their interest is speculative, then that is no good for Bitcoin unless you care so much to make fiat money.

Deadline is on march 13, not march 11.

Thanks for the update. It would be funny to see the people who do not pay attention to get excited on Saturday then finding out that the decision will be the following Monday.

We forgot that some US government offices are closed during Saturdays and Sundays. The update is posted in Bitcoin.com's news site.

It is really interesting to see that SEC is once again reviewing the approval of ETF and this might be the first time they are reviewing too soon and so i do hope the chances of approval are really high and if that is the case only god knows what the price would be ,really thrilled to see how the review works.

I think that we will get an approval this time.
Why would they reconsider it if they are sure that denial was the right decision?
They let 1 man decide if it was a go or no go.
It will get approved because they want to regulate BTC because they see its true power now.
Their FUD machine didnt work, Bitcoin cant be stopped.

There is a whole team thats going to analyze if a Bitcoin trust is a good idea.
If The SEC aproves it, than even 1 or 2 BTC's will make you very wealthy.

I will not get approved. See it as this; your ETF has been disapproved, and you don't agree with it - you'll have an option to ask for a review. From there it's up to the SEC to grant you a review or not, and in this case, they did. If you look at the reasons for the SEC to not allow their ETF to come through, it is pretty obvious that they don't stand a single chance. I personally find the SEC to be a non entity, but according to them, they look to protect investors. Due to Bitcoin's free market nature, they can't 'guarantee' a decent level of protection, and thus it's basically a no go. In order to raise their chances, the Winklevoss twins have to properly insure all their fund holdings - otherwise it will be a wasted attempt.

Not trying to be a fudster or anything, but yeah, this review just seems like a formality almost to cement the original rejection decision. Like them saying not just "No," but "Hell No!"

I hope I'm wrong, but yeah, not going to get my hopes up too much.

They will in my opinion. Look how booming localbitcoins is. They want to regulate the kapital or otherwise they will (wallstreet) totally lose control. They cant allow that so they will accept it. Thats just my guessing when you think as the SEC itself

Maybe they tought that BTC would be done for when they denied it. Now we will reach a news ATH in the upcoming days. They cant ignore Bitcoin anymore, its getting to big

Yeah, I can see that. They thought their rejection of bitcoin would shut it down or deal some kind of death blow, idk. Afterwards, they realized, Bitcoin (and bitcoiners) don't give a sh!t and will continue to keep on keeping on regardless. The ETF may have figured, if we can't beat them, we can at least try to regulate them to some degree. I guess.
