Time to get Schwifty Smiley  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ctK1aoWuqY

Ok.  Here is a new contest, brought to you by the good folks at www.cryptominingtalk.com (...well..me).  This contest is funded exclusively by ad revenue (people clicking on ads) and mostly by the amazon referral program, where you can click on the amazon link and then buy your stuff.  The website typically gets a small cut of the purchase, and I decided to give it back to the community.  So if you want to help out, there will be bigger prizes in the future Smiley  Thanks in advance.

I am also giving some prizes away in another thread by Philipma57 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1774597.80;topicseen).  He has given away a lot in diff guessing contests and I wanted to help out a bit.  Feel free to join and participate.

There is a lot of greed in the crypto world, but also a lot of good will.  Part of the fun and attraction of cryptocurrency is the mining part - the building, experimenting, tinkering and just "making it work".  So in the spirit of sharing, I hereby open thy contest.

-You must post a picture of your GPU or ASIC mining rigs, and/or cooling solutions.  It doesnt have to be flashy and well organised - It can be improvised and home made.  Points are given for originality, function, and mostly effort.
-I will decide the winner.  If there is no clear winner (probably wont be, since this is quite subjective), I will choose a number of submissions (probably 5), and choose the winner randomly.
-At the same time, feel free to discuss your rigs with other members, help out others, etc.  If you see unsafe setups, please don't hold back.  Safety is number one in mining.

Unfortunately I have decided to open the contest to everyone, except newbies.  sorry.  To prove that the rig you are posting is indeed yours, you must have some sort of identifier (a sign saying cryptominingtalk contest or your username for example).  Although this isnt mandatory.

Prize for the winner is:  1x USB Riser, one of the latest versions, shipped to you (Canada and USA only).  If you live elsewhere or don't want it, you can choose to receive 0.01btc.  Contest ends on the last day of March.

edit:  If a lot of people post their rigs, I may end the contest earlier than in one month.  I also might do 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place prizes.  Or maybe Most original, Most functional, Most ghetto, etc.

Until the rig buys itself additional motherboards and cpu's then it's just an extension of the daily. haha.

wooo0000 good stuff, this competition is going to be tightttttt.

-Really like those usb fans, thats quite original !

-...Is that...Is that a dishwasher rack for drying dishes ? Smiley

-Rack mount rigs are getting quite popular these days.  Good for you for using blower type gpu's, they exhaust out the back.

-Oh damn GPU's with home-made fans on the heatsink, thats awesome.  I have one card like that.  cooling is so much better.

I've edited the competition info, instead of end of march, I may decide to end it early if we get enough submissions.  I also may do 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place prizes too.  Depends on how many people post their rigs.  Happy mining !

http://www.saterdayvideogames.com/BCTphotos/image1.JPG

some reason it will not show up on here

In that picture you can see on top of that pc a gridseed 5chip orb mining scrypt and a du-1 x11 usb miner

below that is the pc

outside the pc is
r7 270 graphics card on a ribbon riser
Strix rx280 beside that
then r9 380
these are mining zec

to the right of that is 3x futurebit moonlanders mining scrypt
and also 3x gekko science compac sticks (would be 2 more but getting repaired by sidehack) mining sha256

once i can get this rig stable im planning on building a custom box case where i can use only a single home style box fan to cool everything down better then the usb / 12V fans i have going right now but this is all testing

once i get this setup ill be able to work on my burst hdd miner i have it running on my gaming pc but im making a new mobo with linux to see if i can get it running better

Still a work in progress, just started this build this week. Only have 2 out of 10 Rigs in it so far. Cooling is a rear mounted box fan that pulls air through the cabinet. Small fans only there cause my motherboards require them. This is also my first time ever sharing a image of any setup LOL.

Home made wood cabinet, takes a lot of effort lol.  nice.

And I deleted the last comment.  You can speak your mind, but i'd prefer more than a few words to explain your thoughts.

Old DopeaMINE Case by Red Harbinger finally put to good use.
These were crowdfunded on Indiegogo back in the 1st GPU day, but then were shipped when GPU mining was over....until ETH came around and resurrected GPU mining.

Mining LTC and other alts since 2014 when I thought I missed the BTC train.

most orginal, you say... Smiley

Ok, my outdoor rig passed the winter test perfectly, so it seems I may disclose it now...
(all weather condition proof, from -20 to +30 Celsius degree tested, no extra cooling needed)
