Old DopeaMINE Case by Red Harbinger finally put to good use. These were crowdfunded on Indiegogo back in the 1st GPU day, but then were shipped when GPU mining was over....until ETH came around and resurrected GPU mining. nice where to buy Rackmount?

Wow a lot of crazy entries........! Oh yeah I took down the advert of the rack case gpu mount, I agree it wasnt really appropriate. I mean, he can show it off in the contest if he wants, just not as an overt advert...And yes, building your own will always be cheaper ! Buy parts on sale, buy second hand what is less important warranty wise and ROI will always be better.

humidity is really bad for computers...swamp coolers are massive humidifiers.
Thought they were fine in dry climates like Arizona if you kept the humidity levels around 50%

Well, usually you have a dehumidifying cooler in a server room. It will make everything worse...You know the dust you blow out of computers? Imagine if it was wet...And your miner was rusty...
Not to mention wet air and high amounts of electricity don't mix.

dubbed "lucky7" & it was won by the highest bidder in my personal telegram miners lounge group newer revision of it, no cable ties (for the pcie & usb cables) or any screws (on the risers) were used & the answer is YES, everything is hooked up. thx OP for holding such contest, like the encouragement of others to build their own rigs using their own original ideas ! p/s: this is NOT an advert & yes i do build & customize rigs for my local community when i'm approached.

i'm only planning to run them in summer and during hot days...the air in my mining room is quite dry...practically i turned it to something like a computer case... i agree with you about the things you say and i think it is a bit different when the GPUs are running and changing the environment around them....clothes dries quite fast (i don't dry clothes outside the house anymore), i defrost frozen foods there and with the introduction of wet clothes the area near the clothes tend to be cooler.. i've seen some pictures of large bitcoin mining farms in China using evaporative cooling and i think they know what they are doing.. BTW i won't flood this thread with off topic posts...continue on with mining rigs, it is beautiful to see them all different and working.

Talking about rigs and cooling solutions is allowed. If you use evap cooling, monitor humidity but It should be just fine. Dry air is a problem for home miners, especially in winter. Man we got some clean and tidy rigs and the "explosive man" rig hahahahhaha. The aluminum rigs are so clean, but those supplies are pretty expensive where I live. Maybe in the USA they are cheaper ? And AxeS89 don't worry if you can't insert a pic. Some of these rigs are works of art. Some are contemporary art

By the way, don't want to seem like a beggar here (lol), but there is a 4btc contest going on at forum.bitcoin.com. You can only vote if you already have an account there, but if you do, vote for "Mining Support and why you should mine." If I win, the prize for this contest shall suddenly be VERY interesting. I can still dream.

Some cool ideas here! Well, I only have a temporary test rig, but on the chance that there does end up being a "ghetto rig" prize, I'll throw my hat in. Stuff is holding on with clamps, no wire management, I just wanted to get her running as soon as the parts came in, and got around to bios modding and tweaking afterburner for best performance. This is my first ever rig, and busy as I am, I have yet to cut wood to build the custom shelves I plan on putting it on. See last pic for shelves - from Ikea. Rig is running 178Mhs ETH + 870Mhs Pasc dual mining - 950 watts to the wall - 6x 470 Nitro+ cards - top notch risers from hawkfish007 https://i.imgur.com/BP64bj6.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/NYcSJdS.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/BXwLpPo.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/Tf7uq6v.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/FG7NLg9.jpg
