I wonder why they're able to get away with that stuff, aren't there groups like the ACLU and the NRA and such that are trying to protect people's liberties anymore?  I guess with all the anti-terrorism (witchcraft?) laws on the books these days, the government agencies are above any law or form of control.

If something doesn't stick, or they get called out on being like the gestapo, they can just pull the terrorism/national security card and they can do whatever while people cheer them on.

   It is the nature of the state and the monopoly on violence.The simple fact is it is no different to a mafia gang only more dangerous because it is a gang with no check on its power.Imagine if you had a violent gang in control that had a veneer of legitimate authority and the population actually defended such an organisation,even letting their kids go to brainwashing centres/schools to be told every day that the gang is good.It is totally abominable how corrupt and evil the state has grown.It is sad that china is now more capitalist than the US.

Liberty doesnt have a billion dollar lobby group.Thats the only thing that matters today.
