I would like to know what is the cheapest thing you would be willing to part with 1 whole BTC for, in other words, how much is 1BTC worth for you in terms of stuff? Forget fiat and BTC's current price, how much is it worth for you?

ps: after a few replies i'll post my own, don't wanna influence what people think when answering.

(I dont always get new reply notifications, pls send a pm when you think it has happened)

Wanna gimme some BTC/BCH for any or no reason? 1FmvtS66LFh6ycrXDwKRQTexGJw4UWiqDX Smiley

The more you believe in Bitcoin, and the more you show you do to other people, the faster the real value will soar!

Similar to giantdragon, though I could perhaps part with BTC2 for a high-end PC. Grin

I am more spend-happy with the bitcoins in my live wallet. I value my cold-stored BTC much more highly: "holding for the longest time"!

Reasonable question.

Can't think of anything specific but something for about £60. So, $90 or so.

I think $100 = 1 BTC has a nice balance too it, feels right.

If I was buying from an individual and not a merchant, I'd offer a discount on the exchange rate for the premium of paying by Bitcoin as I'm BTC heavy, cash light at the moment.

Just my opinion. Yours now? Smiley

Probably something that can be lost forever at any time, like a bitcoin.

Optimistically, since there aren't many bitcoins available, if the growth and demand continues, in 5-6 years from now 1 bitcoin could be worth $5k-$10k or more. Then you could easily buy cars and houses with bitcoins.

It was my valuation to 1BTC. We have a long way to go that valuation. Even four digits euro valuations for 1BTC is a possibility. All fiat + precious metals = thrash.

To sell 1 BTC I would expect at least 1/2 kilo of gold in return (at best in 1 oz portions).

Maybe someone will come with a better idea but that's how I value 1 BTC in long term. Possibly some will disagree but looking at its mobility and divisibility Bitcoin is a winner.

Right now it's trading for $140.00 for BTC1.  but since it has a long way to go... I would say realistically right now the value of one...hmmm... about $1000.00 USD / BTC1 BTC

That would give it a market cap of $21,000,000,000.000 USD.

has anyone seen the node map on the blockchain.info site?   The number of Bitcoin users has not dropped it just gets bigger and bigger.

http://blockchain.info/nodes-globe?series=48hrs

I'm seeing spots popping up in the middle of Africa man!!! Africa!!!  Do you know how many cellphones those people have? there's more android phones in south america and africa then in both North America and Europe combined!!!  Those people don't even have bank accounts!  so I know the valuation is going to get much higher, they'll be getting their first wallet and that will be their first bank account.

I think gold is priced too high, and I think BTC is priced too low - therefore I would trade one of my btc off for a one troy-ounce bar of gold (.9999 pure)

I wouldn't mind buying some right now, the contracts for the 10 year gold futures expired and looks like no-one is interested in bringing it back up, but i'm sure sooner or later once these people cash out the price will go back up. Those contracts gotta be filled one way or another.
