There are three ways:

  • Convert USD to BTC through an exchange
  • Build your own set-up and start mining
  • Sell something and only accept BTC as payment

Has coinbase cleared their back-log yet?  I know a week ago, they had rolling 24 hour purchase limits where it was nearly impossible to even place an order.  On top of that, if you did get to place an order, it would be filled 5 days from the day you made the request at market prices on the 5th day.

I like the last suggestion. Why didn't I think of this?

I'll put some thought into it. If anybody has some suggestions i'd appreciate the help. Ya know, where to sell or whatnot. I've got merchandise.

As for accepting bitcoin, I assume I just give the buyer my btc address, or is it more complicated than that.

But if anybody is interested and gas some btc on hand, I have a nice stock of xbox 360 bundles that I sell on ebay, I'll hook it up nice as a token of my gratitude.
