Hey there. I have an Antminer S9 13.5 TH/s. Recently we saw this famous Socket error, no connection. The miner was not working at all. We decided to look up on the Internet feasible solutions within our scope; found this YouTube video (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz2e76uixnI) that takes you through the upgrading process. In addition, tells you what files and what process you may follow. As in, we used such tool, fix upgrade and S9 all firmware update file. The problem being, it seems the update passes, yet we don't see any changes within the setup as the Bitmain manual states. (Attaching specific screenshots for better understanding.) The first chip does not have any temperature value, therefore we think it's dead. (?)

What do you think we should do at this point? We turned off the machine as the temperatures were heating up so much. Didn't want to mess it up. (More, huh.)
I noticed there's a newer firmware on Bitmain's website that * Update to UBI file system to fix the upgrade failure issue on some S9, yet warns you:
* Attention: do not use this fw on old S9 miners with fixed frequency. If miner works all right, the upgrade process with this fw is not recommended. Suggest : use BitmainMinerTool in Antminer toolkit to upgrade
Do you think we should follow the same process but this time with this newer tools? I'd highly appreciate if you give us some feedback. Thank you!
