There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You can take a look here. Some of reddit discussions
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2o4ks9/pull_request_remove_blockchaininfo_listing_from/
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2ogyt4/blockchaininfo_has_been_delisted_from_bitcoinorg/

And it was discussed also on this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=885341.0 though this thread was on 2014.

Has blockchain.info improved their security recently? I use them for small amounts and it all looks secure to me. They have an HD wallet and I enabled 2FA, second password, I also disabled TOR access and I get a confirmation email everytime I log in.  Isnt that secure enough?

Well, althought some complains and doubts about BlockChain.info safety, there are many people defending their services in the threads. Those people that lost Bitcoins using BlockChain.info lost it because they were using Tor, right? It was a fail in safety system, but could be avoided if nobody used Tor to access Bitcoin wallet. And it happened years ago, since that date nothing more happened about "empty wallets" with solid prooves against BlockChain.info...

Wasn't main argument against Blockchain.info that recent exploit when their DNS was hijacked for the short time?
Their core features and security of the wallets is fine, but apparently they had trouble with maintaining DNS redirection and other indirect attacks.

Oh ! I just noticed that. Makes me feel worried though because I use it constantly and the fact that other people here are saying that it's getting attacked is making me freak out.

apparently they had trouble with maintaining DNS redirection and other indirect attacks.

I guess it's time to change to an offline light wallet then.

Their core features and security of the wallets is fine, but apparently they had trouble with maintaining DNS redirection and other indirect attacks.

When they were attacked the site became down for some hours and came back later, but I noticed nobody lost money with this attack, did you?

BlockChain.info is very watched by malicious people because it's the most common Bitcoin online wallet and some people believe it's the "official" Bitcoin wallet... Hackers are always trying to find a breach.

It could be a good thing to do, but unfortunatelly I need more space in computer to download a wallet.

I think is secure enough, just make sure that you enter with a clean computer.

Thats overly paranoid of you dont you think? A good home computer, thats protected with a good anti virus software, firewall and as long as its not used for downloading porn or all the other stuff that comes with nasty trojans and the like, will do ok.

Provably because blockchain isn't really on top or a kind of wallet which people will recommend nowadays. They don't even have an option to recover a lost password of a wallet so it really isn't safe to use.

Before you talk maybe you should first do a little reading about the service so that you wont look ignorant. In what you wrote, you are wrong in both your sentences. Blockchain.info remains to be the top webwallet for BTC and the most recommended one at that.

Heres the funny part of your post that shows you are so oblivious and have not bothered to see the wallet.
