so i just signed up like everyone one else im completly fascinated by bitcoins and how much easier it is do anything anytime without currency fees or anything like that the problem i seem to find is i read a lot about all aspects except a good place to get bitcoins can anyone help please

I'm mining in deepbit pool (https://deepbit.net), maybe you could start there or in another pool.
I don't know if mining solo is a good idea nowadays. I don't risk myself even with my ATI 6950.

I just started as well.  I recommend mtred.com for mining if you want to try that out.  Good community.
