Is the power savings worth it?  Anyone done any analysis on ACTUAL power consumption when mining BTC or LTC?

I will soon.  Once I get a hold of a monitoring device I'll give info.

Not sure if anyone has, but it sounds likely at least someone has.

Post your results, sounds interesting, will you be using a GPU/CPU/ASICS?

Seems really interesting, has almost as powerfull core as the HD 7850, but memory bus limited (128bit GDDR5). So what is the hashrate?

I'm getting 280 Mhash/s with the 7790 running at 1200/1600 (GPU/RAM).  61C.  Fans @ 30%.

That's the best rate I've been able to get so far.

What settings? Somebody reportedly got 300 MH/s with stock, is it possible or was that just peak value?

I wish some of the Nvidia cards were good with mining. I'm hesitant to add an ATI card to my system because of compatibility issues.

It should not do any damage as long as just for mining. But there is guy working on litecoin CUDA miner, so far it is capable of almost doubling the hashrate. Unfortunatelly it is still beta without possibility to set any priority so it's not good to mine on primary card on desktop.

I get 650 m'hashs on each of my diamond 7970 i bought a year or so ago for around 350ea brand new/newegg. With OC it goes up to 680ish but the increased fan noise+power+inconsistency of video drivers+stale/rejects is not worth the difference, at least not to me.

Srsly. What does it have in common with HD 7790? You thought at least for a second about posthunting somewhere else? Being in newbies doesn't automatically mean you gonna polute every thread.
