Hi,

I've been using Bitcoin for a while. Now I've just re-install the wallet with version 0.3.23 (to old directory).

Now, I can't send or receive any transaction.
It always show up as 0/unconfirmed. Sometimes, it shows 0/offline? (the outgoing amount is already deducted though)
And  none of the outgoing transaction shows up in the block explorer.
It has been over a day now....

How can this be? Does it have something to do with how I lower the transaction fee to 0.0005 in the new version, making it a very low priority?

Lastly, if all else fails, I can just take the wallet.dat file, put it in another PC with working client, and re-download everything. That way, the failed outgoing transactions will not show up (and I will have those amount back on the wallet), because the network does not know of these failed transactions, correct?

Thank you very much for your help.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Do you have connections?

I'm having trouble getting and keeping them today.

Oddly enough, I have only ~33 connections today. Normally I'm in the 60's.

Probably another influx of new people clogging up the IRCs

I have one case as yours, it seems that I did not have full block chain when sending payment and it was delayed by 3 hours

As long as you were connected to a peer or two the only thing that was delayed was your seeing the confirmations since they are only in the most recent blocks (which you didn't have yet). Just want to make sure that's clear.
