First use the Google search if you are not satisfied with the Google search then look for. Forums like this. And you should avoid the paid ranking agencies that give it a high rating cause they are paid for it. I would suggest you to post topics in forums or search for the site thread look for the reviews. Always go with the highest ranked by users and even then don't gamble way to much. There are many reputed sites here but again and again they keep getting into some allegations. So choose your own research.

The first thing that i do research about is the community and player feedbacks related to the site because this is the main thing you could able to identify directly if the site is legit or not, community already know about the site and im assuring that those feedbacks are legit ones and not scripted you could definitely recognize which is false or not.

I wonder how you do your research if a gambling site is scam or not?
The easiest way is to just do a little research, you just find the gambling site's announcement thread on this forum and read replies there. Mostly all the new sites do create a thread on this forum, if you can't it then there is probably something fishy about that site(it's does not necessarily mean it's a scam). But the best way is to just gamble on the already trusted websites.

You can easily spot a fake gambling website by reading the reviews and comments others have made about them. You can't just determine their authenticity from afar, but from close range so get to know what people are saying about the very website and then test them with a little bet if you're still not convinced.

sfr10 put quite a good list, what I would add is:
google is your friend enter "insertthename" site scam? and search
check scam accusations section here
go to http://www.badbitcoin.org/  and search if the site or the owner or the company running the site is listed there
always try to contact support! support availability and how they respond could be an indicator too
pay attention to how old the site is,two-three year old sites are less likely to suddenly go rogue, unlike the new sites

Yes now if any new gambling site wants to enter this market they will do promotion in this forum. And they will give any offers to attract people. If they do not come with promotion then you must be care full before playing in that site. After few days you will get to know how the site will run then you can play. Better why risk plays in old websites. This is safe and no need to do research for these sites.

If the site is relatively new you just can't know. This is the reason it's so hard to start a new casino in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
It's so easy to scam and there have been so many, that nobody want's to be the first to test a new service when they can just play in one of the more established ones.

I'm doing my own homework when I want to find out if a gambling site is a scam site. I always wanted to be safe when it comes to this matters. And I'm always reading other people's comment for that site. Search engine is also there which is the easiest way to know if that gambling site is very reliable, paying and trusted.

It's very easy and simple to do. Just google everything out and enter the name of site and you can review the experiences and reviews of people from them.

And of course as a gambler, don't just do gambling alone. Use your mind for the new sites and unpopular ones.

Always see proof of withdrawals.

Though I agree with you in one point, but I can never tell it if the gambling site is brand new. Usually they are the ones who has a lot of victim compared to gambling sites that are already established. But in one point, those established one are sometimes are hiding something too, unless you observe it by your self.

There are gambling sites that looks good,  but look at what other players are telling. Reviews sometimes are misleading, some are just maliciously create a review either in favor of the gambling site or against it, depending on the reason.

A competitor could hire someone to make a bad review and the owner could hire someone to make a nice review.

Well that's another thing for finding out if they are actually brand new. Maybe they got the first one as failed project.

I agree with you, those who are operating does really have something to hide but I don't know if that is shady or for good of its gamblers and management.

However, just always look on the reviews of people and believe that has name in the world of bitcoin gambling.

I have some tips for everyone. I gathered them during my time when I was looking for good gambling experience:

- obviously you don't want to be beta tester for any new gambling service
- if even one element of casino is lacking (no SSL, no clear rules, no ToS, questionable or no provably fair system implemented) - then better to skip this service
- pay attention to comments of other users, if they complain, then maybe there is something wrong going on there
- you must know that even if casino is looking amazing there is still possibility that they will pull off an exit scam, always be vigilant

This is i normally do when i do search for a new gambling site and you are right not all good looking casinos are guaranteed legit since i do know some of them have good looks but went out to be scam later on which we should really be aware on this one and also speaking on technical aspects better check for bugs or errors.

Of course I don't want to be a beta tester for a new gambling service and I don't want to assume that the site is still testing. Just make sure that those sites are already good for operation already.

- if even one element of casino is lacking (no SSL, no clear rules, no ToS, questionable or no provably fair system implemented) - then better to skip this service

I agree on this.

- pay attention to comments of other users, if they complain, then maybe there is something wrong going on there

This will always be the best source on how we will know if that site is good or bad with their terms, operation and everything about them.

- you must know that even if casino is looking amazing there is still possibility that they will pull off an exit scam, always be vigilant

Always don't look at the design, it's just a second option upon gambling.

I am just checking it on google (sites with feedbacks about the gambling site) and here in forum. If you see that users encountered lots of problem and the owner didn't even say a word to fix it, you better avoid the site. I usually visit those with faucet so that I am not required to deposit btc first. Checking the FAQ and TOS is a big help too. There might be a suspicious terms that may help you find out. Sometimes they claim in their FAQ that you can withdraw even you won using the free money but in the end they won't let you. Basically, there is a higher chance that they will scam users if they can't keep what they promise.
Did you google betcoin.ag scam?

First check the forum especially check their official thread and feedback from members, i think forum is full enough with information that you're looking for but if you can't find it just create a thread on here maybe i believe that community will help you. i personally won't be a tester for a new site but usually a new site held giveaway or promotion in order to attract people to join their site.

To distinguish gambling site is a scam or not really is not too difficult. Reliable gambling sites usually have the trust of many gamblers, and if the gamble with bitcoin might be looking for a trusted website or scam in this forum. Because I gambled with bitcoin so I'm looking for information on this forum, and I see the thread or the comments people because they already have some experience in playing. I believe gambling sites that scam will definitely have a bad reputation in this forum so that it can be identified. I personally know that gambling sites scam or not just by doing that Smiley
