Bitcoin could be defined as goods or money. I wonder if it's a good practice to give or take bitcoin as a gift. Could it be a means of bribery?
Bitcoin could be given as a gift or you could accept it as a gift. Well if you use bitcoin in a manner that is not proper then it could be also used in bribery but if you continue accepting or sending bitcoins as bribe you will suffer from that act later on. Remember that there are laws against bribery especially to the government sectors. If you can use bitcoin in a proper manner then do it and not in an illicit and illegal manner.

It depends on the purpose, of course bitcoin can be used a bribery because it is a currency and it is valuable, but it is also can be used as a gift, most of the people used it as a gift and it is better that way, bribing using bitcoin can increase the negative news about bitcoin and it is against the law

Bitcoin can be whatever you want it to be.
Anything can be used for bribery, btw. For example, cookies, lasagna, sex, favors, tickets to a show/sporting event, a new car/boat, electronics, etc, etc and on and on.

AFAIK, everything can be used to bribe somebody... This includes bitcoin. At least, in my country, a bribe is not defined as money, it can be a nice holliday, a new pair of shoes, a dinner, cash,... So why wouldn't bitcoin be considered as a bribe.

Its not about if its Bitcoin or not, bribery is bribery thats it. Bribery can be done by giving money or gifts to law enforcer or even giving gifts ito someone for him/her just to switch in favor for you. Bitcoin that has value when given to bribe will obviously be considered as bribery.

Well it depends on what you want it to be because we have our own way of idea or things that are not really that big of a deal but it really depend on you. For me bitcoin is Bribery and also be as a gift but surely that bitcoin is bribery because people tend to use it in illegal things so they ruin the name of bitcoin but some are using bitcoin for good purpose

just like what other said, bitcoin is a currency so whatever you can do with a normal currency can also be use for bitcoin in terms of use so bribery can be done with bitcoin for sure mate we can't removed that since we are treating it as money.

Bitcoins can be used as stocks, or can be used as a long time investment. It is the best gift one can give to anyone. I don't understand why will it be a bribery if you give it in good faith. Unless you are planning to do some shady deal and then pay it of in Bitcoins and claim it's not a bribe that sadly will be a bribe only. You cannot change that. I would advise you not to use Bitcoins for any kind of bribe. Use if the good purposes, like gifting someone or making a investment for self. Try and avoid getting Bitcoin a bad name.

Giving and receiving bitcoin in an ordinary way can not be called bribery just like that, unless, if you are going to ask something in return for that money that you gave to an officer, or other person in charge, that is what you called bribery. Well, sending bitcoin as a gift, let's say to a friend or to someone that you love is a good practice because you could make someone happy in that way, everyone loves money. People nowadays are thinking practically because we do really need money in our everyday lives, and no one wants to face something like this, they don't want to experience financial problem because it will be a really pain in the ass on each of us, that is why, we are working so hard, and let's share our blessings to others who are those in needs, but let's not use bitcoin in this bribery act, because this is wrong.

Depends. Bribery is something illegal and not moral. If you are offering Bitcoin (money) to someone doesn't denounce you for something wrong you did it's bribery. It's corruption from both parts. But if you are giving Bitcoins as giveaway to promote your site like faucet, casino or just to share satoshis with people it's not bribery. Your intention makes it bribery or not.

Well most of these can be traced back to the person giving it, so most people seem to think Bitcoin is a better gift for bribery because it is not that easy to trace it back to their source. I think that is stupid, because all transactions are recorded on the Blockchain. There will always be some piece of info someone could use against you, if they wanted to. { the problem comes in to proof that the target was you }

If you offer bitcoin just as a gift it won't count has a bribe. It is basically dependable in the specific context of the offering. If it is an offer with second intentions it will count has a bribe

I think this is a bit of a strange question. If you think about it, anything that is widely accepted to be worth money or is money can be used as a bribe. But yes, i see where you are coming from, if someone were to be bribed with Bitcoin, it would be extremely hard to trace. However, it is very hard to obtain Bitcoin completely anonymously and so I guess the person could be deanonymised if they paid using a bank transfer or som similar method.

The expert that was as to offered for cooperation may have done that as an assistant to the cooperation and not as bribe. The same ways people like bill gate, George soro are offered dollars to offend and less privileges, Bitcoin can be used for the same purpose. Give bitcoin don't matter what matters is the motive behind your giving.

Bribery doesn't look into what kind of gift was given or received. You can even give some intangible and things which cannot be valued in money but extremely valuable to the person receiving that would influence his decision. So regardless if fiat was used or bitcoins, bribery is bribery. If bitcoins can sway the person's decisions, then you can conclude that was a bribe.

I think this depend on the situation. If someone had been caught doing nefarious act and the suspect offers the one who caught him a bitcoin then it is called bribery. Another thing is if there is some bidding for a project and the company who participated in the bidding offers the decision panel a lump sum of BTC to get the project or award to project to them then it will be a bribery. But if out of no where someone give you Bitcoin without any catch or hidden agenda then it is not bribery. It is a gift. As simple as that.
