I use bitcoin so I don't have to share information like my home address and things like that, but this site is refusing to process my withdrawal (exact amount deposited) until I provide my drivers license and other documents. I feel like they are just mining for personal information, when I asked where my information would be stored, they didn't make me feel any more comfortable! It will be kept unencrypted on my profile for any unscrupulous staff to steal and right out in the open for any hackers that make the effort! The information isn't needed by their local government or anything, they just WANT the information for themselves with no reason for it! I feel my identity will be stolen or something if I give them what they want!
Avoid if you like your privacy! This feels like a data mining scam or something.

I think these kinds of casinos do have a "know-your-customer" policy that is why they are asking for personal information. Probably the country they are operating in or their license requires such policy. But generally, if you do not agree with their rules, you can always move to another where they have lax rules regarding identifications.

How much was your deposit? I strongly suspect companies like this (they're far from the only ones) do it because they know that a lot of their customers come with the assumption of anonymity, so if they halt withdrawals until the person does ID verification they can make a substantial amount of money from people who don't wish to provide it. The insidious part is some of them (like bitstarz) seemingly selectively applies the policy to only catch larger sums of money, while letting smaller players play anonymously. Considering how shady these operations are, I'd be extremely hesitant about providing them personal information.

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

they are not the only casino that require personal information:there are many topics here with gamblers protesting against "random" ID verification requests, but the owners keep saying it is up to our security system to determine when we need verification and when we don't so you never know when you start to gamble and try to withdraw your winnings, then, suddenly you are terribly breaching all the security protocols possible it is never when you deposit, nobody would ever tell they do not want your money

Also, the first reason why we used BTC is that it provides anonymity to its users and amazingly (being sarcastic), the stated casino just neglected that reason and obliged you to provide sensitive personal information before releasing your funds. It is way better to avoid this kind of gambling sites for your own safety. There are tons of casinos out there that accept BTC and they didn't require any personal information to register or to withdraw money. Honestly, this is the first time that I ever heard anything about that site. Thanks for the heads up.

Its KYC and a lot of sites have it, and honestly, I don't understand it either as these gambling sites employ bitcoin for gambling, and I am almost certain they themselves don't pay their taxes to the correct amount themselves.

I don't see the point why casinos need to do KYC. If there is money to be made, why ask for things that would prevent customers from coming in, right? It's just a stupid system they implement, probably not because they wanted to but because there are regulations and policies in the place of their business requiring it. Though, I don't see them using the information for criminal activities.

I will understand them if they are a wallet but requiring those information as a casino or gambling site is not a good thing. Many gamblers want to earn bitcoins anonymously without being in a public post whatsoever. Better to remove that policy or else many gamblers will not gamble in their casino or gambling site.

It's like asking for your first born! When you win that's when they start asking for your identity. But if you don't then they don't give a sh*t because your giving them your money and bitcoins. Only when THEY have to pay you out do they require you to give them all your documents like you are harboring a fugitive or something.

Many casinos do that and even more services have some kind of clauses in theirs ToS about KYC/AML policy they can enforce on players. Normally I wouldn't be that worried about KYC policies when dealing with reputable service. But it seems that some casinos are using this method as additional layer of protection against loses. When you play it is fine, you can do it with millions of dollars and lose it all, but when you win casino will ask about every personal detail.

i think its not good if we are join in casino that need our personal information because like what others say, if we use bitcoin then we don't have to filled our personal information and if you think that you are not fine with this, better you stay away from that site and moving into other site which no need to filled your info. i think there are many site that is not require us to filled the personal information and you can search them in here.

I have also seen sportsbet.io asking for personal documents in the name of investigation. Don't know why bitcoin casino have KYC policy at all. If they are registered somewhere than they may have it to comply with rules of the country where they are registered but for other there is no point on asking for personal documents.

I am sure they didnt force you to visit their site and at the same time they didnt say you will be prosecuted by not providing the details they asked you. Its their site and their rules and if you cannot abide by it, you pass as simple as that. Any one who is in this crypto world, understand the importance of anonymity and you dont need to announce to us about not going to the site and I am sure if anyone should visit and asked same details, we will just pass.

Its really better to check first a certain gambling site regarding on how they operating speaking of withdrawals and deposits, its always a wise move on making some research before planing to play and if you dont want to expose or give your identity then you should stay away from this site at the first place. Some gambling sites do require informations but i dont think they are collecting for other purposes.
