Dogecoin can maybe rise up to 1 dollar, but it will surely needs to have a lot of support and many big investments done on it. If you ask people about dogecoin they would think that its a joke.

It actually has no future but its for me a pump and dump coin mostly.

It's not that i dont like Doge, but 1 usd is waaay too unrealistic

I find it useful more often than not, mostly to avoid massive BTC fees (send doge/sell them for btc) and it has been worth it.

For Doge to reach 1 usd per coin, something extraordinary has to happen. As mentioned several times, the market cap it would achieve at that price makes it very hard to believe.

Though, in crypto, you never really know... and with all the new money flooding in, the "joke" might get revitalized

Who knows, maybe in 10-20 years when Bitcoin is way over $1 million.

Bitcoin is dirt cheap right now, if you take all facts into account.

I highly recommend you to study the stock market, the size of the remittance market, and the global monetary supply in general.

Bitcoin is more or less a tether to the altcoin market, it's basically the base denominator for all cryptos. Considering that the blockchain is increasingly used for investments and capital collection Bitcoin could easily become as large or even larger than the stock market, which was something around 20 trillion USD in size.
If it's used as a currency it could be anywhere from 1 to 10% or more of the ForEx market, which would also put Bitcoin at a million. If it's used as a store of value, it could become as big as or bigger than Gold, which is also several trillions in size.
A combination of these factors as well as global economic growth could easily see Bitcoin's price to be well over 1 million USD. Even a joke like Facebook that only pumps out ads is worth $600~800 billion.

But whatever price it reaches, $8000 per coin and a ~$100 billion market cap aren't even the dust left behind by peanuts.

What gives you so much hope that Dogecoin will trade for a dollar? Any big development coming from the team that we are not aware of? The story of dogecoin specifically is ammusing because it started as a joke.. from the Meme and now sits on about hundred million, which isn't bad at all for a coin that was supposedly created as a joke. If people want to support it, go for it, it managed to survive throughout all these years, so why shouldn't it continue to do so. That's just my opinion.

Doge is cool. The logo is fun, its been around forever and its a honest coin. But I think this is just a whale or whales playing around in the market. I guess it will settle down soon.  Still I love doge for what it is and also for what it isn't.

It didn't and wouldn't even see 10 cent. Dreaming is good but you also need to stay realistic. DOGE can't be 1 USD with that total supply and market cap numbers. There are too many coins and too many people that hold cheap coins. They won't let it go to 1 USD.

the coins is absolute carbage, tell me some reasons why you would think that doge has a future. What does it offer that other thousands of cryptocurrencies who transfer value don't? It's just a lol coin and was never meant to be taken seriously, that how it started and that's how it will die. The only people who keep it is for nostalgia and keep the "fun" in the crypto and the "lols" but if you want a serious investment don't go for it. If Vitalik has it or some other developer with fat cash and stacks of other coins that are valued at million, then they can well afford to buy some dogecoins and potential losse everything (they are millionaires) but for the average investors I really don't see any good use-case to buy doge coin or future potential.

A kind, polite, docile altcoin and so many people to hate it, abuse it. Let me ask one question to all the Doge haters-  There are 800 types of cryptocurrencies today. How many of them you see have a great future? Absolutely none other than Bitcoin or maybe ethereum and to some extent Monero/Dash (Anonymity is a friend). Even these coins have a dwindling future.
One thing which can save a crypto is the number of participants- The holders (Hodlers) in this case Doge is a clear winner, it is held by one of the largest number of people and a larger community. Doge has never died and never it will. It will survive even after many of the bigger coins have vanished.
Leave Doge alone. Those who fear Doge fail can sell it and exit.

I also do not belive that he ever reach $1, but Dogecoin always looks like dead on level 15-17 satoshi and after few weeks is jumping even 10x .. i will not be surprised if his price in january will jump over 120 satoshi or more
