Thank you for the answer.  I searched around and could not find any information about the origin of that transaction, or what it means.  It's much too low to be a dividend payment.  Was it a transaction sent by friedcat to verify how many shares each of those addresses held on the 17th?

Yes, to confirm how many shares you have a transaction is sent verifying the number you own.  Once he verified he owned the address in question, I just looked it up on the blockchain and saw it had such a payment sent from an address I already knew belongs to friedcat.
