Got it working.  Only one card was running.  Had to switch from 12.10 to 12.8 AMD drivers. 

Thanks for all the advice.  I really appreciate it

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I am new at this and joined slush pool. Can't get GUI Miner to start right, if I make a CPU Miner the "start mining" doesn't react when clicking. And if I start the default one, it says it doesn't have anything to mine on. (I am starting out with mining with CPU to try it out)

p2pool for bitcoin or coinotron if thinking about other cryptocurrencies as well.
