Yes, I do believe that the price could rise that high in the future. As soon as block size issues are finally resolved we could see a surge since people will genuinely be able to use Bitcoin. If we see a rebranding from Bitcoin to potentially bits, this could even make Bitcoin quite user friendly and potentially result in mainstream use from the wider population. it certainly caused a lot of illegal acts to obtain bitcoin

I suppose what you mean by this is that people are trying their best to steal Bitcoin. This is true, and unfortunately due to Bitcoin being pseudonymous will always result in that unless it compromises its principles. But it's not like there are no scams or theft with fiat currency - there are always going to be these problems but luckily we have a lot of good ways to avoid them when dealing with Bitcoin - from antiviruses and 2 factor authentication to the use of escrow when dealing with less trusted members. I think generally, Bitcoin is safer in many ways than fiat currencies because if you get scammed, the scammer doesn't have your bank account details, so they can only steal your money if they can get inside your wallet, which is a lot harder than it might appear on the surface. |

but if you keep them locally in your cold storage and not on exchange or in your online machine, nothing bad can happen

Yeah bitcoin was used in some illegal stuff and some do some illegal things to gain some Bitcoin,
But in some country you could just buy it in a legal way and you can work hard to earn some in a decent way.

Yes even i have come across some news that bitcoin was used to pay to terrorists but at the same time nothing is safe if we consider that way I just hope more and more country starts adopting bitcoin as an alternative for their currency just like debit/credit cards an also i have heard of some companies mostly some sort of start ups paying their employees in bitcoin instead of their national currency. I think bitcoin will not be termed as illegal as it makes our life easier. |

You got it right and this thing is logically possible because its part of human nature for being greedy and when they saw that bitcoin is becoming rare and the value do increase on huge amounts people do have criminal minds would sure do whatever they like as long they could able to get bitcoin no matter what and what measures they would do.Cold storage is the safest one to secure our bitcoin but be sure not to forget the important keys and informations regarding on the wallet. |

It seems that in future Bitcoin prices could rise that high. It depends on you that how you use this currency, for legal or illegal acts. Usually, Bitcoin is much safer currency. But it does not mean that there are no theft or cons with approved currency.

I have just read in some analytical article that bitcoin may cost 5 000 $ in 5 years and 500 000 $ in 2030. He certainly will rise in nearest future.

other currencies also has been use for illegal activities and people not too concern about what currency will use it for but bitcoin is special because government can't control bitcoin and if there are illegal things or similar such as that then people would blame bitcoin but it doesn,t matter for me because there is always be pros and cons in our live and we as the bitcoiners just use our bitcoin for good things and prove it to many people that bitcoin isn't that bad however i believe bitcoin price will be reach to $2000 on 2018

Hello zeze18, can you give me some definition of "maximum prices" for bitcoin? I cannot understand that. I suppose you mean that bitcoin currently has achieved the maximum price, that it is not able to increase anymore, but that is just plain talking, Everything depends on the people trust to bitcoin , and its practical usage. We have seen that there are many ongoing project with bitcoin and blockchain, the cryptocurrencies are becoming more and more famous. For me, it looks like a start of the gold cryptocurrency era, where they will attract thousands of new customers, going into world of different rules, where one bad letter while sending transaction can make you loose the money. |

We cannot really imply, that every time that bitcoin prices rises, scams occur more frequently.
In such a case that could have made some strange kind of an equation for some people, according to it you should trade, invest and trust someone more carefully-just because there was +% on BTC pricd this month.
It is also a bad thing if you believe that the current way of using bitcoin is not effective. The only issue I can see about that are really high fees, but it wont be changed unless miners will agree for some solution.

There are 2 ways in acquiring bitcoin, that is the legal way and the illegal way. OP claimed that due to the high value of bitcoin, some people just do the illegal way in earning bitcoin. Some may scam you into investing your bitcoin and then ran away as soon as you made the transaction. Others hacks exchange sites or wallets just to steal bitcoin. Selling drugs and accepts bitcoin as payment. There are many more illegal ways to obtain bitcoin, it is a matter of choice in terms of the user. |

Surely Bitcoin will price $2000 and much more in the future, it's just a question of time until this happen. I agree when this happen many people will focus their attention on Bitcoin and it can attract many thieves trying to steal the coins from the holders. The procediment to make your Bitcoins safe are the same of always. Use preferentially a desktop wallet, remove internet connections from the computer where your Bitcoins are...
But, in my case I just split my money between some addresses, it's safe this way also... If I lose here, the rest of money is protected there.

Surely Bitcoin will price $2000 and much more in the future With this race of growth your prediction can come true at this very year. Use preferentially a desktop wallet, remove internet connections from the computer where your Bitcoins are... It is hard for me to imagine special pc machine with no connection to the internet, just for holding a bitcoin amount.). Better to use Linux for this i think, or some safe system. |

There may be restrictions on bitcoin in some countries but you can anyways have bitcoins and exchange them back to cash.

i am sure that bitcoin will reach $2,000 / 1 btc but i don't know when we can see that price but if everything is ok, then i think in the end of this month or next month, the price will be at $2,000 and maybe the price will increase more than the price. many of us predicting that bitcoin price will be in higher price in this year and many of us is hoping that bitcoin and altcoin is increase more so we can make big profit. |

hello from the future,today is 22 of May 2017  the price of bitcoin is around 2.200$ and we haven't achieved the maximum price by any means the average growth is over 50$ a day now,if the price keeps growing at this rate we should be able to reach 10.000$ mark this year |

I think it is so wrong to quantify Bitcoin's value to illegal acts. You cannot say so boldly given that you have no proof to justify your conclusions. Be careful on what you post in this forum because it can cause a lot to people who work tirelessly (legally, I suppose) just to have additional means of income. In reference to the above question, to keep your Bitcoin wallet, you have to make sure you do not give or leave your code to anybody. Doing so might cause your account to be hacked, leaving you with absolutely nothing. |
