Hey guys,

Title says it all. Anyone know what's going on or who's behind this?

UPDATE FROM MTGOX FACEBOOK:

UPDATE: This again appears to be another strong DDos attack. We are working hard to overcome it and will update when possible. It's currently 2am in Japan so please forgive us if our Facebook/Twitter updates are not as quick, though the team is certainly not taking any breaks. We're very much looking forward to implementing a much stronger solution very soon and will make an announcement to that effect once it's in place.

Crashing? Where? You mean on bitstamp where with 100btc you bring the price up 20$?

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

I posted an update. MtGox is being DDoSed. BTC-E is also under attack with hack bots(account stealers) spamming the users with hack links. They also are loading slow and sometimes timing out, maybe signs of an attack over there as well.

The price of BTC on btc-e and other exchanges is currently $100 or less(at the time of writing). LTC is also down from 2.6 to 2.2x.

Where?
This is 12hours from btc-e:

I don't see single occurence below 100 USD per 1 BTC. I also watch other exchanges.

Is there a point you are trying to make?

Yeap. I asked some questions in the original post. I'm looking for answers to those. The big moves down for LTC and BTC might be the motive of the attackers...

You claim that:
Quote
MtGox down, BTC and LTC crashing, BTC-E being attacked

MtGox down - yes, we know: https://twitter.com/MtGox/status/326014809613139970
BTC and LTC crashing - where? Crash imho means -70+ %. While +- 20 % is "normal" in Bitcoin world.
BTC-E being attacked - any source or anything at all to back this claim?

TBH is anyone certain that MtGox, Bitstamp, and BTC-e aren't owned by the same principals? I know MtGox, Bitstamp, Bitcoincharts and Bitcoinwatch all use Cloudflare and nginx. Are we sure this is a coincidence?

Well and I'm sure they also all use Windows and computers.
[/sarcasm]

If you have high traffic website nginx is the only way. Same goes for cloudflare - there are others but unless you need something specific CloudFlare is the cheapest and at the same time works very well.
