[Crypto-Games.net] Investment portfolio from 13 Mac - 10 Apr 2017

Greetings!

I am a gaming hobbyist and have been wanting to share my investment portfolio at Crypto Games (CGN), partly inspired by this thread from Twistedx2 at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1796062.0. Hopefully, this thread can help you decide if you would like to join one of my favourite sites as a player or investor. You can find me in chat as Sojourner.

All details of how their investment works can be found at their FAQ page, specifically https://www.crypto-games.net/faq#collapse31 but here are the main points:

A. 8 different cryptocurrencies to invest in and their respective minimums:
0.01 Bitcoin  |  0.5 Ether  |  1 Dash  |  1 Litecoin  |  1 Monero  |  20,000 Dogecoin  |  10 Peercoin  |  1,000 GridCoin

B. Profits(P) or Losses(L) split 30/70 between CGN and Investor, calculated hourly.

C. Min. 24 hours investment lock-in, with variable divest fees for periods shorter than 21 days.

I actually have had several investments at this site, with overall profit at time of divest. Today I divested and made two new separate investments of Gridcoin (GRC) and Bitcoin (BTC). In addition to tracking growth of coins, I will also make note of fiat value (USD as per CGN's rates).

I will post a weekly update, with dailies when significant (updated as add-on edits to the weekly post) and monthly wrap ups.

You're welcome! Your original was the inspiration for this, so really thank you to you, too! I intend to open an investment with all the remaining cryptos by end of the month, it'll be nice to see eight currencies lined up.

I think it's a great testament to the site itself to see almost all the supported currencies also appreciate in fiat value over time!

The CGN investment portfolio performance for Week 1 ending 20 March 2017 (around 08:00 GMT) are shared as below:

Overall profits observed for BTC and DOGE, unfortunately a small loss for GRC. Divest fees have also reduced slightly as investments complete their first week.

Crypto value across the board has dropped between 10 to 20 per cent, owing to BTC's battering this week. The GRC loss, however, is offset by its price, which remained steady.

This is a nice thread.

I like the idea of investing in the bankroll of a casino because I usually lose money gambling. When you invest in casinos you are guaranteed to make profit in the long run because you are essentially gambling with a negative house edge.

I’ll be following closely with your profits, because i usually only invest in Just-Dice which is my go to casino for both gambling and investing. But now they only operate with CLAM which is really annoying

However what made you invest in Crypto-Games instead of other bitcoin casinos that may have better house edge instead of 0.8% and lesser investment commissions?
For example, pretty sure that YoloDice investments as well as BitDice has better house edge, which is around 1.00% instead of 0.80% that Crypto-Games has? And I’m pretty sure that BitDice has more gaming volume and more whales than CG?

Lutpin need learn read numbers. Bitdice have 3625 btc invested. March bitdice had around 6600 wager and cg had around 3000.

Hello all! I am updating three weeks here, mainly because for the past 2 weeks I was only able to save screenshots with no access to my other documents.

A brief summary of Weeks 2, 3 and the current end of Week 4:
- A steady record of small gains each week for BTC, and with its recent price recovery, it stands at a good fiat value as when I first invested.
- GRC actually made it into the black around mid Week 2, but a Jackpot winner of 60,000 GRC (yes, plenty of JP winners at CGN!) made a slight dent, as reflected in current GRC investment. Nevertheless, I still find it good value and my GRC actually holds the highest percentage of site bankroll in this portfolio so there was that added exposure. The 4th week showed the first week-on-week profit, and total fiat value has almost doubled.
- Doge showed the biggest gains over Weeks 2 and 3, but slid a little in Week 4. Cumulatively, almost 4% profit makes this still the best performing of the 3 so far.

Thank you all for your comments! I hope it helps others make the same decision - I do gamble myself but I feel that investing also makes me feel like I have a vested interest in the site. It's a great idea for community ownership. Don't hesitate to PM me for more information.

Thanks Lutpin for answering the questions with more detail than I possibly could!

Xypos: To be perfectly honest, my decision to invest with CGN comes from familiarity and trust. As difficult as this is to measure, my perception of how honest/open/transparent I find the site owners, staff and mods are is pretty high. They're approachable, fair and available. There's quite a bit to the "community" at CGN and I find that something I'm comfortable with.

Other than that, their investment structure may not seem like the best in the market now but as Lutpin puts it, CGN typically has a lot more volume in terms of wagering. I also see this is growing, thanks to subtle marketing and diversification (CGN has a news site with pretty decent contributors). Current and foreseeable volume looks positive to me. Also, you can see exactly how your investment is affected by wagers, faucet claims, rain etc.
