You wouldn't.  That's why online wallets are pretty scary.  You know that if they ever collapse, you'll lose your Bitcoin.

To be fair, this is very unlikely to happen with Blockchain as they are quite a trusted wallet and have serious security measures.

Let me just add to the answer of Technicality. If you had another wallet (a paper wallet for example) and just imported (not swept) it into blockchain.info, then you could still transfer your funds. But this basically boils down to the old "only if you and only you hold the private key it is your Bitcoin".

Look into trezor, it has a lots of safety features built into it. It has a "recovery seed" in case you lose it or it's damaged, it has two-factor authentication, and has a the ability to setup a duress code so that if someone threatens you for the code, that code can be setup to release a small amount of btc.

As long as you have a backup of your wallet, you can access your bitcoins even if blockchain.info suddenly ceased to exist.

If you don't have a backup, then you've got a problem, but that's true of hardware wallets, and paper wallets too.  If your hardware wallet or paper wallet were to disappear (get lost, get destroyed, etc) you wouldn't be able to access your bitcoins UNLESS YOU STORED A BACKUP IN A SECURE LOCATION.

Sharing your private keys with a third party is sill bad since you aren't the only one able to spend the funds i.e. blockchain.info could just steal your coins.

You can use a desktop wallet instead, keys are yours and you don't need to spend on a hardware wallet.

I think it's worth pointing out, that blockchain.info doesn't store your private key in plain text. Every time you use a private key it's done on your PC and they (blockchain.info) should have no way to spend your funds.
Just because someone uses a desktop wallet doesn't mean it's safe. So don't let your key fly around your PC. Read about it and behave smart.

we should not pray for that to happen as many people will be affected and blockchain.info has not private key for your wallet. Blockchain.info is one of the best wallet providers and if anything happens to the sites bitcoin price will automatically fell down. Though it is good to have online wallet and private wallet offline on your personal computer to safeguard your bitcoin from unforeseen circumstances.

If this happen then many people will complain you can transfer your funds easily by finding a good wallet or if you already had web wallet where you transfer your balance copy the address and then send . But if you send lots of bitcoin ithink you will charge for big fees too.

I don't think there is any way to get back the earnings if blockchain.info suddenly closed. They don't do such thing because they're one of the bitcoin giant.

I wouldn't say that. They are not that liked anymore, they made a lot mistakes. A lot of failures from them.
General rule is, do not keep your bitcoins on online wallets (only change, never bigger amounts).

I don't think there is backup option in new blockchain.info. Is there? But I remember that you can download wallet via API, maybe try it and you will have access to your private keys.

If you have the private keys there is not much of a problem, but the question is why, in this scenario blockchain.info disappeared? If it was because there was an attempt to scam then it is unlikely you could ever recover your coins.

I asked because I´m new to cryptocurrency and was curious if I would have access to my funds if for some reason the hot wallet provider that I am using suddenly ceased to exist. People I´ve talked to seem to think they are OK as long as they have their 12 word phrase written on paper and stored somewhere, which is sadly NOT the case.
Access to funds is by a Private Key when it comes down to it. No matter if you have a user friendly online wallet or a low-tech paper wallet, your Private Key is your money. So if for example blockchain.info suddenly ceased to exist I would not have access to my money no matter how I have stored the 12 word phrase. The only way is through my Private Key, and you cannot get at that if the website was ever to close!
But when the website is up you can get the Key although it is not easy. I have no idea why they made it so difficult instead of just a menu item? However I´ve got my Key now, and with that insurance I really enjoy the clean and user friendly interface of the Blockchain.info wallet.

Blockchain.info got import wallet which is really great. you can import your funds from that wallet address to other which is really great.
