Is someone mining with that kind of GPU and who tried both? Is it worth to buy the 1080TI instead of the 1080 even with the price difference?

Not really bitcoin mining related, you might want to consider moving this to altcoin mining as the mods will probably do it anyways. I would personally say no and take the 1080 or 1070.

You're not likely to find someone who already mined with the 1080 Ti, they are sold out. but it's the same chip as the Titan XP, so it should perform identically.

Thank you for these answers Smiley
I guess it is still more interesting to stick to the 1080 and yeah the TI is sold out anyway Cheesy

I ordered a 1080 with the price drop. It seems like a good mining deal right now if going for density

750 oc in zcash, 710 oc with 90% tdp according to the video.
I can do 600h/s on a GTX 1080 oc (evga hybrid : gpu@2075, mem @ 5500), 540 on a founders edition with some oc (but fan @60%, with gpu around 1850mhz due to temperature)

Just wait for the GTX1080 with 2nd Gen GDDR5x.
@Stock the 1080TI is doing 32MH/s on ethash ..with OC I reach 36MH/s

According to NVIDIA the new memory will be deployed along with new GTX1080 too which should make tghen also 32MH/s at stock.

GTX 1080Ti rocks da house... seriously... this card is a beast³

So it's time for nvidia.  1080 at 290watt of 760sols, 1070 at 130watt of 420sols. Interesting!

For 1080 11gbps it would be around ~26mh/s - 10% faster then 1080 10gbps version (which is around 24mh/s stock)
1080ti is 36mh/s stock as you are apllying oc to P2 state (which is 500mhz less then P0 game state) = oc'ying for 500mhz results in 5500mhz in afterburner with founders edition

To be honest I'm impressed by the performance and cooling of the FE edition.
Running since last night with 2000 Core / 6000 Mem 80% Fan @75°C while mining ZEC with 760sol/s

@vaulter:
They not only made more speed..they improved the latency itself too..and the 1080 I'm sure with new GDD5X Gen2 will make also 30MH/s+..we will see who will be right.
I did already some analysis with CUDA Toolkit on core and mem utilization and ..well miners still need optimizations.

But still even the founders edition I gonna love :-D so tiny and light.

i hope the new 1080 and 1080ti do alot more than 30mhs other wise theres not point my 1070's are already doing over 30mhs each with default core +595mem and @70tdp ... =126watt per card

80% for the fans? Is this even viable for long term mining? Stable 75 C is OK for the card, but could be lower.

Card is Oc'ed at 2000/6000 @ 120% TDP for that the temps are more than nice.
And since it is FE the fans are easy to replace other than the custom version like AMP! from Zotac and so on.

I may buy the water cooling solution for the card ..lets see summer is coming

Ok for 120% tdp that is good, the consumption will be over 290 watts though?

its jumping between  230-291W..mean according to meter is 245W in 24h of mining zec at these settings @765sol/s

So it is probably not optimized well yet? But 245w for 765 at the wall is decent efficiency Smiley. That is the price of two 1070 that do 880 at 250W, so not that far off for (top)high-end card. (but you also have higher overheads with the 1070)
