I'm having problems with my C-CEX account and other sites

C-CEX

"Authorization failed from IP: 185.50.251.109
If it was not You then just ignore this message and make sure your password strong enough and not compromised. We also strongly recommend to turn two-factor authorization on (2FA) if You haven't it by now.
"

Has anyone else received this email?

Days ago I received a similar email from another site that I have account with. Last week I received an email from a site that I have an account that said someone tried to enter my account.

It seems that this is becoming frequent

they are just telling you that someone tried to log into your account and failed. simple as that. there is nothing to worry about.
and the reason for it is probably because you used either the same username or the same Email address for multiple places.

C-cex.com uses username, and for example if you had the name "Slow death" or chat there and show your username, someone can go to their login page and put in "Slow death" and try different passwords "123", "password1",... and every time he fails (assuming your password is not that easy to guess!) the system sends you an email telling you someone has failed to login.

I also use c-cex and I have no problem whatsoever with thier service and even to a large extent, I will say I am comfortable with they are offering. So if they send you something of such, then it means they are on the look out for you. What I will suggest is to first log in and change your password because it means your account is compromised then after that you can start other security steps recommended to be implemented.

If its sent by email and link is along with it, don't click the link. Its best to just write down the url c-cex.com on the navigation bar than clicking the link for it could be a fishing link.
What I do if that happens to me is change my password to that  account and like the advice said enable the 2fa.  If its  me that logged to the IP address then I can just ignore that message. Also I will contact their support to verify if someone else got into your account.

C-CEX as far as I know is all altcoin exchange like polo. Its no thread to your creditcard or paypal account but still important if yo have tons of coins there.

Its really important to set up our 2fa specially on our exchange accounts and we should not always used the same username on each site we tend to create specially on those account that have funds.Lucky for you, the hacker or the people tried to log-in on your account didnt succeed and ive been using c-cex on the past they do really give notifications if there is an unusual activity or log-in attempts to your account which is really good.

if you never received email similar just like this before or this is happening lately obviously someone else has try to solved your password but fortunately they do not hacked your email so your c-cex account was pretty safe untill now but i suggest you besides send email to their contact support change your password also necessary i think

I've never signed up for c-cex but I keep getting notifications that my account's password is being changed etc etc. I'm assuming it's either phishing or someone created an account with my email in the hopes to gain something. They don't have any correct info on me though so I don't care. I guess technically I have an account now because the last time I got that email I set up a new password and there's been nothing since.

Does your paxful password the same as in your c-cex account? If that so and you use the same password for multiple sites you must change all of it to a different one.  Anyway, I encountered same scenario as you, but I know that its me. I had a hard time logging in on my account when I was on mobile, I used correct info but it didn't let me log in. That's the time the email was sent to me. The problem was solved by using my email as log in instead of my username whenever I'm on mobile. You can be sure if someone else is trying to use your account by checking the IP address (if it's yours or not).

I'm using c-cex for few months and I never encounter a problem with their site. You should turn on your 2fa because someone is trying to hack your account.

obviously someone else has try to solved your password

This person started with my payza account, for 5 days I received email with notification from someone trying to get into my account.

Turn on your 2fa before it's too late for you to recover it back change your password. It's also happened in me but the sad part after they widraw all my funds on c-cex he change the email on my c-cex account  before i noticed  he already confirm it on my email. it's Only 30mins gap and then my account on c-cex gone I recover my email but not my c-cex account . It's also my fault not to turn on 2fa.

already did that

Does your paxful password the same as in your c-cex account?

No, I use different password for each site.

I got the same email and this is not the first time this has happened to me..

I think it has to do with the bitcointalk hack, they get the email and password of your bitcointalk account and try it on exchanges and stuff trying to steal your coins..

iam never problem use c-cex
until now iam use c-cex not use 2FA, not use google authenticator still normal and never problem

hack only happens once, and that one time is enough for emptying all your funds you keep in the exchange!

of course if your total balance is less than 0.01BTC don't bother with it much, a strong password is enough.

I used to receive such email from c-cex few months ago but after few attempts i think the one who was trying to hack my account gave up. And these days again i am getting email alert for failed login attempt from https://cryptox.pl/ which is fairly small trading platform.

One of the reason behind this may be using same email address that you are using in trading platforms to register in every random sites you come across.
