The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

And the list doesn't include ones that were recently registered, ...
e.g., bitcoinme.com [registered 11/16/2010]

I'd only be interested in bitcoin-bank.com
Registered bitcoins-bank.com and a couple of others, also planning on actually opening a bank there.

I don't understand the obsession with domain names.

Everyone googles these days, it's much more important that your site turns up in the search results, than to have an 'easy' domain name.

You could call your bitcoin trading site 'unicorn with purple dots' if you wanted and still be popular.

I mean, how many sites that you use have a domain name related to what you do there?
Google?  nope. Ebay? nope. Amazon? nope.
If they are related it's usually in a funny way and not directly (such as paypal, facebook, etc)...

Bitcoin Core developer [PGP] Warning: For most, coin loss is a larger risk than coin theft. A disk can die any time. Regularly back up your wallet through FileBackup Wallet to an external storage or the (encrypted!) cloud. Use a separate offline wallet for storing larger amounts.

mtgox is a terrible name for a site dealing in bitcoins, but it is one of the most popular bitcoin-related site that exists!

mtgox is a terrible name

I think mtgox is a great name!

The USA stores its gold at Fort Knox, but bitcoiners trade their coins at Mount Gox.

You should only use hifens on domain names when they are really needed or the domain without the hifen is gone.

You would be surprised on the number of visitors who won't remember the hifen, altho it makes it easier to read the domain.

All domains with "bank" word and if domain is money related - useless in US.
Because you need bank license for this. You may register it, but even do not try use it Smiley

BTCDig - mining pool (Stratum, VarDiff, DGM, SSL, JSON API)
