I need to move an old wallet from a linux pc - that will not update or sync anymore to a Windows 10 PC.  I have the wallet.dat backed up.

What's the best way to do this?
Can I move the blockchain over so I don't have to re-download the whole chain again?  Since it's running an old defunct wallet, would that cause a problem (wrong chain)?

All of Bitcoin Core's data files are completely Operating System independent. You can copy/move all of the files over, including the blockchain block files and the wallet.dat, without worrying about any incompatibilities. If you use the latest version of Bitcoin Core, you are unlikely to run into any issues.

That worked, thanks!  And, it saved me a ton of time, since I already had the whole blockchain downloaded.
I installed the lastest Blockchain Core on Windows10 then copied over the .bitcoin directory from the linux PC (~120gb).
