Tiny Tickers for Chrome

My extensions got an update recently:

What:
Three Five Chrome extensions, for BTC, LTC, PPC, TRC and NMC with the following features:

• Shows current exchange rate on its icon, updates every minute, click forces update.
• Supports BTC, USD and EUR exchange rates
• Alert notifications, can notify you of price changes with a customizable threshold.
• Alerts work even if you hide the extensions.
• Alerts have memory: go offline or hibernate, and when you come back get alerted about the price changes since last check.
• Doesn't require signup, doesn't ask you for your email address or any other data.

Your extension is great, been using it for a while.

Have a question or comment rather. Of all the extensions I have running, Tiny Ticker is the only one that stays open in the taskbar after closing Chrome. Is this by design, needed?

Admittedly, I have no clue how these things work.

I'm using these tickers myself, so if they stop working be assured I'll fix it Except if they stop working because mtgox/btc-e APIs go down, in which case I can't do much but wait until they are back online, but otherwise I will maintain them.

I didn't notice this, it's possible the alerts component is left running in the background somehow. I'll have a look and see if I can remove it.

I tried this but the Tiny BTC ticker doesn't "tick".  It just gets stuck at one price.

Mt.Gox public APIs data is usually delayed in 2-4 minutes or so, not much I can't do there unfortunately. Is that what you are observing? If not maybe there's something else, ie another extension, blocking it.

Yes it is stuck for me too. I do have AdBlock installed so maybe that is the problem.  Or maybe I wasn't waiting long enough between updates but a few minutes is an eternity in a fast moving market like BTC.
